Date: Monday, January 03, 2000 4:07 AM Previously, Hiroshi had battled with a rather sadistic trainer just outside of Viridian. The trainer used a high-level Rhyhorn against Hiroshi's Nidorino, Spike. The Rhyhorn KO'ed Spike quickly, but it's trainer continued to have it ram into Spike savagely. Hiroshi recalled Spike as soon as he could, and then defeated the trainer and his Rhyhorn with Bubba, his Bulbasaur. As soon as the battle ended, he ran as quickly as possible to the Viridian City Pokémon Center. And that is where this installment begins... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- --- Hiroshi sat at a table in the near empty Viridian City Pokémon Center, slowly sipping from a small cup of hot chocolate. He had just picked up two of his Pokémon, Bubba and Sleepyhead, from the Rejuvenator. Spike's condition, however, was too serious to simply run him through the Rejuvenator, and Nurse Joy had taken him into the OR to operate. "I hope Spike is okay...they've had him in there for over an hour now..." Hiroshi thought to himself. He looked over to the door to the Operating Room, noticing the "Operation in Progress" light glowing, wondering exactly what was happening inside. "He should be okay...Nurse Joy knows what she's doing..." The small light above the door, and Hiroshi sprang to his feet, running over to the door. Seconds later, a Chansey walked out of the room, and looked up at Hiroshi. "Chansey, Chanse chansey! Chansey!" she said. "What did you say, Chansey?" Hiroshi asked, looking down at her. "She said your Nidorino is fine, but you should keep him out of battle for a while." Hiroshi was a little surprised, and looked up to see that Nurse Joy had just walked out of the OR, Spike at her side. Spike, seeing his trainer, ran over to him and jumped on him, toppling him over. "Spike! How are ya, boy? Did they take good care of ya?" Nurse Joy giggled, and walked back over to the front desk, giving Hiroshi and Spike some time to bond. TBC... Notes: My first post! Finally!
