He is on his way to Professor Oaks Laboratory to receive his first Pokemon. He lives very close to the Laboratory and is their in a couple minutes. "Good morning Zane," said Professor Oak, "Are you ready to start your Pokemon Journey?" ".Yes." said Zane. "That's.good. Alright, here you are," says Professor Oak. Zane is handed a Pokeball by Professor Oak, who motions to him to open it. Zane opens the Pokeball and recieves a.Pikachu? "Pikachu," says Pikachu. "Pikachu doesn't like staying in Pokeballs," says Professor Oak. "Why did you give me a Pikachu? Why not a Bulbasaur, Squirtle, or Charmander?" Zane asks. "Because I once gave another trainer a Pikachu and he did very well. I see a lot of potential in you Zane. I think you and Pikachu will do just fine." Said Professor Oak. ".Thank you." said Zane. Zane then looked directly into Pikachu's eyes, with Pikachu looking back, and they both smile. Zane leaves Professor Oaks Laboratory and decides to stop at one more place before he leaves.Frank's Grave. "He was a good man," Zane says to Pikachu. "Good-bye Frank, I'll be back." Zane & Pikachu then leave Pallet and head down Route 1, towards Viridian City. Zane & Pikachu have been walking for hours towards Viridian City. "Wanna take a break?" says Zane. "Pika," replies Pikachu. Zane sits down next to a tree, with Pikachu sitting beside him. Zane and Pikachu both suddenly sit very still. They hear a rustle is the bushes. They wait a few seconds until they see a Rattata come out of the bushes. "Pikachu use your Quick Attack now," says Zane. Pikachu quickly rams the Rattata before he can realize it. The Rattata quickly recovers and charges towards Pikachu. "Now Pikachu, use your Thundershock!" says Zane. "Piiikaaachuuu," says Pikachu as he shoots a thunderbolt at Rattata. Rattata is now weak and paralyzed. "Good job Pikachu, I'll take care of the rest," says Zane, "Pokeball Go!!!" The Pokeball lands on the Rattata forcing it into the Pokeball. The Pokeball starts to shake a little, but it eventually stops. "Alright, I caught Rattata!" says Zane. Zane and Pikachu once again look at each other, knowing that they will be friends for a long time. Then they continue to walk down Route 1. They see a girl sitting by a tree sleeping. She hears them walking and she immediately wakes up. "Good Afternoon," she says as she stands up. ".Hi." Zane softly says. The girl has long blonde hair, blue eyes, is around 5'5", and is very attractive. "Is that your Pikachu on your shoulder?" asks the girl. "Yeah.why?" Zane asks. "Would you like to battle?" she asks. "Sure!" says Zane. "Alright, it'll be a two-on-two match," says the girl. "Fine by me," Zane says. "Rattata, I choose you!" says Zane as he releases Rattata from the Pokeball. "Go Paras," says the girl as she releases Paras from her Pokeball. "What's a Paras?" asks Zane as he opens his Pokedex. "Paras, a Bug/Grass type Pokemon. It burrows to suck tree roots. The mushrooms on it's back grow by drawing nutrients from the bug host," says Dexter, Zane's Pokedex. "Rattata, use your Quick Attack," says Zane. "Rattata," says Rattata as he charges towards Paras, hitting it. Paras staggers, but maintains its balance. "Don't let it do that to you Paras, use Leech Life," says the girl. "Paras," says Paras as it sucks up Rattata's energy. "Rattata, use your Super Fang attack before you lose anymore energy," says Zane. Rattata jumps at Paras and with it's tooth, bites down on Paras. Paras then drops to the ground. "Paras return.Alright Eevee, it's your turn," says the girl as she releases her Eevee. "An Eevee?" says Zane as he opens his Pokedex. "Eevee a normal type Pokemon, It's genetic code is irregular. It may mutate if it is exposed to radiation from elemental stones," says Dexter. "Rattata return," says Zane, "Pikachu, it's your turn now." "Chu," says Pikachu as he jumps off Zane's shoulder and runs towards Eevee. "Eevee, use your Sand Attack now," says the girl. "Eeee," says Eevee as it shovels dirt in Pikachu's face. "Now Eevee use your Take Down attack," says the girl. Pikachu, now blinded with sand in his eyes, cant see where Eevee is. Eevee then runs right into Pikachu hitting him into the air. "Pikapi," says Pikachu as it's hurled through the sky. Pikachu lands on the ground hard but slowly stands to his feet. "Now Eevee, use your Bite attack," says the girl. "Pikachu, use your Thunder attack, NOW!!!" says Zane. "Piiikaaachuuu," says Pikachu, as he shoots thunderbolts everywhere, hitting Eevee, and also hitting Zane. Eevee is knocked out, and recalled by the young girl. "You did good," said the girl, "My name is Abbey, What's yours?" asks Abbey. ".Zane." he says. "Well Zane, where are you headed?" asks Abbey. ".Viridian City." says Zane. "I live in Viridian City, do you mind if I come with you?" asks Abbey. ".yes, I mind." says Zane. Abbey looks directly into Zane's eyes very angrily. "Fine then!!! If you don't want me to come with you then I'll stay here!!!" says Abbey very angrily. Zane examines Abbey, then turns around with Pikachu in his arms, and walks away towards Viridian City.
