From: Dryad <dryad48@aol.commoner> Subject: [PW!][ATR] Big Eggsplosion Date: Monday, February 07, 2000 12:05 AM Derrick slowly strided along, back to livelyhood of the Ivory Island. It was evening now, and he didn't want to be lost into the wilderness, even though there was none. There was no rejoicing tonight. Exeggcute had betrayed everyone. He had evolved himself into the much more powerful Exeggutor. Derrick remembered what the doctor had said about the evolution of Exeggcute, especially when it was missing one egg. Nurse Joy had said that if an Exeggcute were missing an egg while evolving, there would be a high risk of it missing body parts, becoming retarded, and having weaker abilities. It didn't seem so. Exeggutor was in perfect pysical strength. As far as Derrick knew, it had not experienced any emotional faults.. yet. Exeggutor held Derrick against the wall with it's psychic powers. It seemed that everything about the evolution had turned into the good favor. However, it was the basic fact. Derrick always kept Exeggute away from Leaf Stones. Exeggcute knew the possible consequences. Derrick was strict about where Exeggcute went. Still, it happened. Just like a parent to their children, you cannot hide a child from bad things, for it would only make that child weaker. Exeggutor HAD grown weaker. He now felt no emotions, no trust, nothing about Derrick. Now Derrick isn't called by his name, but rather *master.* Each egg used to have it's own attitude about every experience. Now, Exeggutor was like a computer: only spewing facts, doing only what told to, never suggesting what it liked. Derrick knew this because after it evolved itself, Derrick let out Paras, Weepinbell, and Pinsir to talk some sense into Exeggutor. It didn't work, Exeggutor didn't even reffer to the pokemon as friends. "Something in his mind is locked," Derrick thought to himself. "I need the key to his mind." While arriving at the center of all ATR actions, Derrick overheard a message. "Attention Ivory Island, would the ATR's who are volunteering to help with the Phase Three team, please come up to the Raven's nest. The rest of you, head down to the Crystal Caverns, and proceed in preparations for Project Huzzah. I will join ya'll later. Simon Locke." Surprisingly, this Simon person sounded very much like a woman. Also, Derrick could recall the name Simon Locke somewhere before. "It must be the most important person on the face of this island," Derrick thought to himself. He immediately walked up to a plaza-like place and began asking people where the location was. Apparantly, much of the ATRs were in their own world. "We either need more sane recruits, or a psychologist for ATR," Derrick mumbled. Most of the people he asked were banging their heads against walls, clicking an "Imitation Saber Pen", it said that on the label, mumbling about revenge, and climbing up trees in search of the 'Raven's Nest.' Derrick decided to himself that this place was inside the largest of the ATR buildings. He walked inside and looked around. There was no sign of any clues. Derrick went in and out of elevators, up and down stairways, left and right, throughout hallways. He sighed and opened the last door on one of the floors. To his surprise, he saw...
