From: Susan <dragon0313@aol.commies> Subject: [PW!] Getting back on the horse Date: Saturday, January 29, 2000 10:01 AM Ember felt a pulse in her head. She was swimming through grayness. The pulse deepened to a throb, then into an all-out headache. The pain lifted her slowly into conciousness. Slowly she opened her eyes. The light was blinding, until something thoughtfully eclipsed it. Ember refocused her eyes. Was that Amaranth? "Ember?" someone's voice, no - Mandy's voice. Where was she? Ember couldn't turn her head, it hurt to move. She felt a hand on her poll, that must be Mandy. "Nurse Joy is going to give you a sedative. When you wake up again you'll feel better," Mandy said soothingly. Ember accepted the shot and within a moment she was out again. ------------ "Are you able to stand?" Mandy anxiously asked Ember. The ponyta wobbled on her hooves, but she did stand up. "I'm sorry. I'll never put you in that kind of danger again." "It wasn't your fault, I could have refused to go," Ember said in ponytaspeak. "So, where next?" "I think we should try for Erika's gym in Celadon," said Ron, "She uses grass types." Ron shuddered to think of the *THUMP* Cloe made when she hit the wall in the Electrode's self destruct. It was good to know that Erika's pokemon wouldn't do that. "That's a good idea," Mandy was thinking of Ember. "Let's go." They took to the streets. Narator: And so, after two embarassing battles to Lt. Surge's disciples, everyone is back on their feet. Plus, they've got the added bonus of not having to worry about that evil Rocket woman anymore... for a while, at least.
