Temporary Narrator: Last time, Ron and his caterpillers fought a disciple of
Lt. Surge. They won, but Cloe the Weedle was badly injured. Mandy went up
against a trainer with an Electrode that had an attack that it shouldn't have
and an Electabuzz. The Electabuzz put Ember, Mandy's Ponyta, out of commision.
We left off with Mandy and Ron in the street, their path blocked by an ominous
dark plot device-I mean-figure.

"Er-hem."
The two young trainers looked up from their conversation to see a dark figure
blocking the path. Mandy uttered a nasty word. "It's her, isn't it?" she asked
Ron in a petulant tone. Ron nodded miserably. "Like I need this today," she
looked the dark figure in the place where her eyes might be. "Do you think you
can bother us tommorow? We've had a really lousy day."
"I don't think so. I need an answer now," NDRL sneered.
"I thought you ranked pretty high up in Team Rocket. Don't you have something
better to do?" No answer came from the dark figure. "Imagine, pestering
teenagers for a living. Do you get paid for this?" Mandy reached into her
pocket for a pokeball. She opened it to reveal an overgrown Magikarp.
"Hurricane, will you do me a favor?"
"Karp."
"Great. I know there's no water, but try splashing her anyway."
"Magi." A little bit of water splashed on to the dark woman, but it was
enough. Bright streaks of light streaked across the woman, making patterns and
fractals. When they'd faded all that was left was a fair skinned woman with
burn streaks tracing lines on her face and hands. Ron was relieved to see that
she was twitching slightly and still alive. Beside her was a cell-phone sized
box, sputtering from the little bit of water that had come in contact with it.
Her portable shadow generator.
"We'd better get officer Jenny," Ron said quietly.
