From: Shimarisu <rachel.r@scotland.com> Subject: [PW!] [ATTN:Anyone] Has anyone seen this kid? Date: Saturday, January 22, 2000 8:28 AM "Has anyone seen this kid?" ---------------------------- The child in the picture was little more than 8 years old, scrawny and dirty with backcombed purple hair. She stared out into nothingness with huge, emerald eyes, as if questioning the nature of the camera lens in front of her. A note was glued to the bottom of the photograph. "HAS enyone seen this Kid?" it read, in semi-literate childlike scrawl, punctuated by pawprints. "If yu Hav, then tel Her to com to the Pokesentar at lavendar, wher I am Wateing." Nurse Joy sighed as she mailed a scan of the picture and a corrected version of the accompanying text to the other Pokecentres in the world, along with an insctruction to print it out and post it up wherever it could be seen. That Meowth had certainly been persistant. "I'm dying," it had told her. "I need to find that girl, so I can say goodbye. If I don't get to see the girl, then I'm staying right here." "Staying here?" Nurse Joy had queried. "I thought you were dying. This is a centre for ill Pokemon. That means you can't just stay here for the purpose of meeting up with old friends." "Hah!" Kohban had seemed amused at her rebuttal, more than anything. "I'm old. I've been searching for that girl for years. How long do you suppose I've got left?" Nurse Joy hadn't liked to say. The Meowth was certainly in its twilight years, that much was obvious. "Okay then," she'd replied at last. "What's the girl's name?" "Murasaki." "Right then, I'll see what I can do." . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . A few days later, as per the Meowth's instructions, the poster started appearing on billboards along the routes, and in shop windows in the towns across the whole region. Would anyone recognise the girl? Only time would tell... TBC? Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
