Subject: [PW!][LEAGUE] Indigo's command. Damian Fox vs. Sirius!

OOC: I guess Jeff's post was eaten, so I'll just continue from what he sent
me...
Sirius carefully thought out which of his Pokemon to send out next. None
of his Pokemon, besides Reis, had a clear advantage against a Kabutops, so he
might as well use...
"Marowak, GO!" shouted Sirius. The Pokeball that he threw bounced across
the field and released Sirius's Marowak.
"Maro, maroo..." growled Marowak. Just a few feet across the arena was
Damian's Kabutops, Edgy. Both Pokemon assumed a fighting stance.
"The green trainer, Sirius, has chosen a Marowak," remarked one of the
announcers. "Though a Kabutops would usually win in this situation, Sirius's
Charizard has already done some considerable damage against it."
"Hmm... a Marowak..." murmured Damian. Edgy's slashes wouldn't
accomplish much against Marowak's tough defensive traits, but a Hydro Pump,
provided it hits, would finish the job quickly. The referee raised her flags.
"Trainers, begin!"
"Edgy, try to weaken it a little with a Slash!" Damian called out, not
sure if he could be heard through the deafening crowd. Marowak carefully
backed away from the advancing Kabutops, awaiting Sirius's order.
"Marowak, use a Bone Club, but be ready if it tries to slash!" shouted
Sirius. Marowak growled in acknowledgement.
"Kabu, TOPS!" Edgy, only about four feet away from the small Marowak,
suddenly raised its blade arm to the side. In one swift sweeping motion, Edgy
slashed at Marowak. Marowak tried to block with its bone, but was hit hard
across the face. It rolled out of the way to avoid more hits and to distance
itself from Edgy. A crack-like cut appeared on its skull face, but Marowak was
still relatively healthy. A few of Sirius's supporters sighed with relief.
"Marroo, maaro!" growled Marowak fiercely, warning Edgy to stay away.
"Good job, Marowak... just... hang in there!" said Sirius. He suddenly
grimaced afterwards.
"A close one!" said Ed. "Damian's Kabutops hits, but Marowak pulls
through with barely a dent!"
"Edgy, another Slash!" shouted Damian, clearly unsatisfied with the
results of Edgy's last attack.
"Marowak, use..."
Before Sirius could have a chance to issue a command, Edgy was charging
forward and wildly slashing. Marowak could barely be seen in the flurry of
slashes, and Sirius was beginning to panic.
"Maro! MARO!" The Kabutops suddenly lurched backwards, wincing in pain.
Marowak had apparently charged a Skull Bash while Edgy was slashing and had
finally released it. While Edgy stumbled backwards, Marowak hit a second time
with a powerful bone club straight at Edgy's head, nearly knocking it out.
Marowak leaped back to avoid another slash while Edgy recovered.
"A sudden turnaround!" exclaimed Bob. "Sirius's Marowak escapes with
little damage from all of Kabutops's slashes, and delivers some tough hits!
What will the red trainer Damian Fox do now?"
Enough was enough. "Edgy, HYDRO PUMP! Fill the entire arena with
water!"
Barely moments later, the arena was nearly flooded from the water from
Kabutops' attack, which had missed Marowak by nearly ten yards. With no high
surface to take refuge on, Marowak fearfully scampered away from the rushing
waters, but he wouldn't escape in time...
"Aaahhhh! Marowak! Use..." started Sirius.
"MARO!" Marowak made a desperate leap right when the waters closed in.
Edgy, dizzily stumbling around in the opposite direction, gasped in surprise
when Marowak blindly tackled it from behind. Edgy, unconscious, drifted
motionlessly through the water while carrying the frightened Marowak. The
water soon dissipated into the muddy arena, and Marowak hopped off of the
prehistoric creature.
"Kabutops has been defeated," announced the referee, who was soaking wet.
"Match goes to the green trainer, Sirius." A light blinked out on Damian's
side while Edgy was returned.
"Great job, Marowak!" cheered on Sirius, who hardly believed he could
pull off a win with Marowak so close to falling into the water.
"Now... what'll Damian send out next?"
