A flock of Butterfree ascended from a tree in the park. The dawn light sparkled off the last bits of dew still clinging to their wintips, looking like a mystical kaleidoscope tha would have made any person stop and wonder. This beauty did little to soothe the mood of one Simeon Hawking. He sat solemnly on a park bench amidst the early risers that strolled past him in the cool morning air. He crossed his arms across his chest and turned his head suspiciously at anyone who came too near to him. One person was going to ask him the time but decided better of it. Satisfied he had his privacy, Simeon pulled a pokéball off his belt and let out the pokémon onto his lap. A baby Vulpix looked up at him, yawned and started licking his ear. Simeon smiled an put the pokémon back into his lap. The Vulpix yawned again and curled up in his arms, and was soon sleeping quietly. Simeon smiled and sighed to himself.
