From: <lewis8661@my-deja.com> Subject: [PW!][League] Indigo Rumble Round six: Mike vs. Keyan Pepper Date: Saturday, February 19, 2000 9:52 AM Last time, Mike discovered he was battling Keyan Pepper in the Indigo Stadium for Round six. Mike has a five round winning streak running, will the sixth round break it? "Our competitors are just entering the stadium! Mike Threener, who has succesfully gotten through five rounds without losing a single match, and Keyan Pepper, who only has four Pokemon in this sixth round rumble! Who will be the victor?" the announcer asks. Lewis and Bridget sat behind Mike as he stepped into the trainer's box. Keyan was alone. "Trainers, begin!" the announcer shouts. "I refuse to lose so hear's my clue: Parasect, I choose you!" Mike shouts in battle phrase. "Ha! Flash, you're on!" Keyan shouts. A Fearow flew out of Keyan's Pokeball, and Parasect jumped onto the field from Mike's. "Parasect, knock it out with spore!" Mike commands. "Evade with agility!" Keyan orders. Parasect releases the spores from the mushroom, but each spray it shoots doesn't even scratch the Fearow, who dodges each with exact precission. "Flash, Take down attack!" Keyan orders. Flash dives up and then heads down, tackling into Parasect and knocking him back. "Parasect, hang in there! Slash that bird!" Mike orders. Parasect jumps up and slashes Fearow, stunning him for a moment. Flash dives up, and then does an accomplished corkscrew turn down on Parasect, using an incredible drill peck. Parasect is thrown back, knocked out. "Parasect is unable to battle, victory goes to Keyan Pepper!" the flag guy shouts. "Mike, maybe you should use a different type of Pokemon. Your bugs don't stand a chance against that Fearow." Lewis says. "I'm not gonna give up to some stupid bird! Venomoth, you're on!" Mike shouts. The giant moth comes out of it's pokeball, ready for a fight. "Flash, fly!" Keyan commands. "Oh no you don't! Venomoth, use your psybeam as a psychic lasso!" Mike commands. Fearow tries to fly up, but Venomoth fires a psybeam which ties itself around Flash's feet, pulling it down. "Now Venomoth, use your special attack!" Mike commands. Venomoth flies down, and glows for a moment. Nothing else happens. "Eeer, Flash! Drill peck!" Keyan commands. Flash repeats the finishing move it did on Parasect, but this time, Venomoth merely glows and gets pushed back. "Try take down!" Keyan orders. Fearow flies into Venomoth, who once again begins glowing and is pushed back. "Eeeerr, Agility!" Pepper shouts. Fearow flies up and around and as fast it possibly can, flies past Venomoth, appearing to have partially scratched it. Venomoth flies up towards the sky and blocks the sun. Suddenly, Venomoth's body glows with power, and fires a massive wave of energy STRAIGHT AT FEAROW! Fearow is fried by the massive outburst, and hits the ground with a hard thud. "Fearow is fried! Victory to the team of Mike and Venomoth!" the flag guy shouts. "Wow! Venomoth's bide attack really came through! Good training there, Mike. Now Keyan is down to three Pokemon, can he make a successful comeback?" the announcer asks. "Return, Flash. Go Sparks!" Keyan shouts. A Jolteon emerges from the pokeball in an astounding flip, and without warning, thunderbolts Venomoth, fainting it. "Ouch! Looks like Sparks the Jolteon really wanted to let the juice out! Now Mike is down to four Pokemon, which will he use against the powerful Eeveevolution?" the announcer asks. "I refuse to lose so Butterfree, it's all up to you!" Mike shouts. The Butterfly Pokemon flies out of its pokeball, but then it too is shocked. "Another ouch! Not a smart move on Mike's part, Butterfree's partially flying type! Looks like our competitors are now neck and neck!" the announcer says. "Eeeerr, Kabutops, I choose you!" Mike shouts. Sparks once again thunderbolted the Pokemon, but this time with not as much a good response: Kabutops went over and slashed him. "Kabutops! Hydro pump!" "Sparks! Agility!" Kabutops repeatedly fires the blasts of water, while the Jolteon evades each one, tackling Kabutops back. "Kabutops, Water gun!" Mike shouts. Kabutops gets the water gun off with precise accuracy, making Jolteon wetter than Florida during a hurricane. Before Keyan could realize the mistake he would just make, he shouted, "Thunderbolt!" Unfortunately, being wet, the electricity that shot out of Sparks immediately hitting the water on itself, and shocking himself! "Jolteon is unable to battle, victory to Mike!" the flag guy shouts. "Excellent strategy, Threener! He used the water on Jolteon to conduct its own electricity to shock itself! Now, Pepper is down to two Pokemon!" the announcer shouts. "Azure, you're on!" Keyan shouts. The Dragonair came out of its pokeball and awaited her master's commands. "Dragon rage now!" Keyan shouts. "Kabutops, take cover!" Mike shouts, but it was too late. The massive tornado hit Kabutops, sending him flying down to Mike's arms. "Are you okay?" Mike asks. "Kabu. Tops." it replied. "Don't worry, I'll take care of worm girl. Return." Mike says, recalling Kabutops. "Mike, you aren't going to do what I think you're going to do, are you?" Bridget asks. "So what if I am?" Mike asks, readying the pokeball. "I just think it's a big mistake!" Lewis says. "Too bad! It's risky but it's my only chance, so I choose you: Dragonite!" Mike shouts. The massive dragon comes out of its pokeball and roars. "Don't give up, Azure, Dragon rage!" Keyan orders. Azure fires the tornado at Dragonite, who grabs the tornado and disperses it with it's claws! Dragonite opens its mouth, and fires a hyper beam straight out at Dragonair, who jumps around, evading it until both dragon and beam cross, and sends it flying. "Dragonair is unable to battle! Victory to Dragonite!" the flag guy shouts. "Eeer, I hoped it wouldn't have come to this. But oh well, at least I know I tried my best. Flare, I choose you!" Keyan shouts. The Charizard came out of its pokeball, feeling a bit tired, and then saw Dragonite Suddenly, their eyes were locked in a massive glare at one another, realzing this was a battle for supremacy bewteen two dragons. The trainers made no difference. There was only those two. Dragonite immediately fired a hyper beam at Charizard, who immediately flew up and evaded. He fired a flamethrower in response, and Dragonite flew up to avoid getting burned. Dragonite flew over and slashed at Charizard, who responded by its own volley of slashes. Finally, the two flew back just above the stadium, and Charizard fired a fire spin, and Dragonite dragon rage, and the two burning tornadoes hit one another, and finally merged into one-and flew right at Charizard! Charizard was hit and spinning, until finally it hit the ground with a massive thud. "Charizard has been defeated! The battle and the match goes to green trainer Mike Threener!" the flag guy shouts, holding up a green flag. "Yah! Dragonite re-" Mike was interrupted by Dragonite hyper beaming him.
