Mike has returned from Celadon after earning his fifth badge, and is now going to fight his opponent Zack in the Indigo Stadium. Mike, Lewis, and Bridget were standing in the stadium hallway. Mike hardly moved. "Mike, you're shaking!" Lewis says. "I'm cold." Mike replied, gulping. "You're shivering in fear." Bridget said. "And what if I am?" Mike asks. "Mike, you have the chance to put yourself on top of everbody else! You can make this your best battle ever!" Lewis says. "What if I fail, like you?" Mike asks. "You won't! That's a promise!" Lewis says. "Ok." Mike replies. --------------------- "And here comes Mike, the green trainer! He looks pretty confident! Mike has managed to win all four rounds without losing once! This should be quite a match!" the announcer shouts. "And here comes the red trainer: Zack! He's ready to make this fifth round his most important! Will he succeed or leave in defeat?" the announcer asks. "Trainer, BEGIN!" the flag guy shouts. "Haunter go!" Mike shouts. "Snorlax, go!" Zack shouts. The giant and the ghost appear on the field. "Snorlax! Rest and take the beating by gaining strength!" Zack says. It would've worked-except for one little thing... "Haunter! Dream eater!" Mike shouts. Haunter absorbs Snorlax's energy as it sleeps. Before it can awaken, it faints from losing so much HP. "Snorlax return." Zack says. "Gyarados go!" Zack shouts. The massive dragon emerges from its pokeball. "Gyarados, ice beam!" Zack shouts. The ice beam fires, immediately freezing Haunter solid. "Haunter is unable to battle, victory to Gyarados!" the flag guy shouts. "Haunter return! I refuse to lose so here's my clue: Parasect, I choose you!" Mike shouts in battle phrase. "Gyarados, wipe it out with hyper beam!" Zack commands. The beam fires out and sends Parasect into a wall! Parasect immediately gets back up and slashes Gyarados with little effect. Gyarados slams into Parasect, sending it back farther and into a wall. Parasect got up once more. It was through taking that from the Gyarados. The mushroom on Parasect's back started glowing, and a massive solar beam fired at Gyarados, sending it straight into a wall, fainting it. "Go Charmeleon!" Zack says. "Return, Parasect. He doesn't stand a chance against a fire type. Kabutops, go!" Mike says. The shellfish comes out and prepares to battle, immediately sending out a hydro pump on the unsuspecting Charmeleon, who runs for his life and back into the pokeball. "Charmeleon refuses to battle, Kabutops is the winner!" the flag guy says. "Eeerr, Electabuzz go!" Zack says. Electabuzz comes out and thunderpunches Kabutops, shocking and paralyzing it. "Kabutops cannot battle while being paralyzed. Electabuzz wins!" "Return Kabutops. Venomoth go!" Mike says. "Squash that bug! Thunderpunch!" Zack shouts. Electabuzz jumps up to thunderpunch him, and Mike shouts, "Psybeam!" Venomoth fires the psybeam at Electabuzz, sending him straight down six inches into the ground. "Return Electabuzz. Fearow go!" Zack says. "Venomoth! Stun spore!" Mike shouts. Venomoth releases the powder at Fearow. "Blow it back!" Zack commands. Fearow uses a perfect whirlwind, sending the stun spore straight back at Venomoth, paralyzing it. "Venomoth, return. Dratini go!" Mike shouts. Dratini comes out and readies itself for battle. "Fearow! Drill peck!" Zack orders. Fearow dives down in a corkscrew fashion, and Mike commands, "Thunder wave!" Dratini shoots out the thunderwave, spoiling the drill peck and sending Fearow straight into the ground! "Return, Fearow. I will not fail now! Poliwrath, go!" Zack shouts. The frog-like Pokemon readies its fists. "Poliwrath, ice beam!" Zack shouts. Poliwrath fires the ice at the Dratini, freezing it solid(sound familiar?). "Return, Dratini! Eeeer, it's risky, but it's my only chance, so I choose you: Dragonite!" Mike shouts. The massive dragon comes out, ready to get some sleep. "Alright Dragonite, fight water with water-surf attack!" Mike commands. Dragonite yawns. "Oooh, why did it have to be now that Dragonite stopped listening to me!" Mike says. "Poliwrath! Ice beam!" Zack says. Poliwrath fires the ice beam at Dragonite's leg, freezing it. Seeing his frozen leg, Dragonite uses a hyper beam to melt the ice, and then another hyper beam to send Poliwrath flying right into his trainer, fainting him! "Poliwrath is unable to battle, Dragonite and Mike are the winners!" the flag guy says. "Wow! Dragonite ret-AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Mike shouts as a hyper beam hits him from Dragonite, who decides now is a nice time to nap. A crispy Mike recalls Dragonite. TBC ------------------------------- Sigglypuff v1.2 "Not allowed? Me?
