A large Onix slithered into Pewter city, not an unusual sight, considering the town's Gym. What was unusual, however was its rider, as it was *not* Brock. As Tyger pulled up to the Pokémon Center, the Onix lowered its head to allow him to get off. "You wait here, Onix, I just have to check on a few things before we head to the Gym" "On-ix" Tyger walked in, glancing around at the various trainers waiting for their pokémon to be healed. He walked up to the counter, and Nurse Joy turned around to greet him. Tyger merely smiled in response. "I don't need any pokémon healed, I was just wondering if there were any unclaimed ones being held here" Nurse Joy nodded "We have a few, but all of them are currently in critical condition, except one..." There was a large splat as a Grimer fell on Tyger's head. "I see you've met him," Nurse Joy giggled, "He seems to like you" Wiping Grimer off his face, Tyger only scowled a bit... "Ugh, I hate poison types...especially overly emotional ones. Ah well, maybe I can find it a good home. Is it alright if I take him" "I'll have to call the head of the Center, but it should be okay. I'm a little busy at the moment, so could you check back a little later?" "Sure, I'm going to the Gym anyway" "Oh, dear. Be creful, Brock's been in a bad mood since swimsuit season ended without a trip to the beach" "I'll be fine, I hope I can handle him, though, he's supposed to be a good Rock-type trainer" "Oh, he is, but his real passion is breeding. You should see his Vulpix" Tyger merely smiled and nodded as he went back outside, and stroked his Onix's nose. Together, they headed for Pewter City Gym... OOC question: In PW, does badge earning *require* the defeat of the Gym leader, or can the would be trainer earn it in other ways, like Ash did in the show?
