He was in a cave surrounded by Pikachu. "Pika?" One stared at him with a puzzled look. He couldn't figure out where he was or what he was doing there, everything seemed hazy. He felt something sticking into his side in his pocket, he reached for it. "The S.S. Anne..." It was coming back to him. The object was the meowth key to his room, number 52. He had felt the camera around his neck, but he didn't think of it till he stood up. "Now I remember, I'm on Pokèmon Island for a safari... wait a second what's today?" He looked at his watch. "Saturday, January 22, 2000?" He was shocked. Last he remembered it was April 1999. "Pikachu!" "Pikachu!" They danced around him. "You guys must have taken care of me all this time."
