From: Foratog <cybersacco@geocities.com> Subject: [PW!] Their Last Day in Cinnabar Island Date: Saturday, February 05, 2000 4:43 PM (Nick and Jessie have run away from the orphanage, and are now spending the night in a janitor's closet at the local Pokemon Center) As Jessie was dreaming of the high life on the S.S. Anne, Nick was having a dream of his own, but it wasn't nearly as pleasant. Nick has had many scary nightmares since he was about 5 years old, and the care-takers of his orphanage heard his vivid retelling of his dreams. And frankly, it freaked them out! They thought he had emotional problems. The real reason Nick and Jessie ran away from the orphanage was that they were going to take Nick away. The care-takers of the orphanage was going to take him to the Cinnabar Island Mental Institute. One of the younger kids had heard this, and immediately told everyone. If they did take him away, it would had split up Nick and Jessie. If they did, Nick would certainly go insane; he can't live without her. This nightmare was no where close to the ones he had when he was a child. It started out at a sandy Cinnabar Island beach. Nick was siting in the sand, and suddenly a young, most likely teen-aged girl appeared in front of him. She had long, flowing black hair; not stringy, but a little fluffy. She was only wearing a large white robe, barely showing an inch of skin; yet with the wind blowing against her, Nick could tell she was slender, because the robe press against her body. At first she was standing in the sand with her bare feat, but then she became to hover above the ground. She then flew out into the sea. Of course, it's a strange dream, so Nick started to swim out into the sea. The mysterious girl was rapidly getting away from him, and soon she was out of sight. Then, as Nick started to turn back to the coast, she reappeared right in front of him. Then she pulled out a necklace of some sort. After close inspection, Nick figured out that it was just like his crystal necklace, the one he seemed to of had since is birth. As she stood above the warm water, Nick pulled out his necklace from underneath his shirt. Then some sorta ray of light appeared to be connecting the to crystals. Just as Nick tried to look up at her face to see what she looked like, a humongous Gyarados shot up right from under the girl, making her disappear as if she was a mirage. On top of the Gyarados head was a Wartortle, and he had the necklace hanging on his lower jaw. The Wortortle then grabbed the chain, and bite the crystal, breaking it. It created a huge flash of light, and in the light Nick couldn't make out some hundreds and hundreds of pictures he saw in the blinding light. Then he woke up, all sweaty and damp. He looked to his side and saw that he didn't wake up Jessie; he usually wakes her up in the middle of the night when he is having a bad dream. She had a happy smile on her face, and looked like she was even laughing. He went back to sleep, and slept until morning. When he woke up, he saw that Jessie was already up. It was only 7:00 am. It's very unlike her to get out of bed this early; she is definitely NOT a morning person! Nick stepped out of the small room and into the main room of the Cinnabar Island Pokemon Center. He asked for where Jessie went of to. "She's in the shower, and I suggest you take on too," Nurse Joy joyfully replied. Nick gave her a smirk, and sat down in a chair against the wall. After they bother took their showers and started to pack up their equipment, they said their good-byes to Nurse Joy and left the Pokemon Center. Jessie asked, "When does the ship sail off today?" Nick pulled the tickets out from his jeans and said, "2:00 p.m., today." "So what else should we do today before the ship leaves," Jessie asked. "I don't know." Jessie thought for a moment as they were walking down 5th Avenue, and finally she suggested they train their Pokemon at Cinnabar Park. At Cinnabar Park, there was a lot of Pokemon trainers with their monsters. Nick and Jessie walked over to the very edge of the of the park, where only trainers of fire Pokemon dared to enter. This part of the park was on the side of the volcano, and there was many lava pits and hot-water springs. Jessie let her Vulpix out to wad in the springs. Vulcan the Charmander loved to bathe in the lava pits, but he would barely stay in. He isn't strong enough to stay in the lava too long. After a little relaxation in the springs and pits, Nick and Jessie had started to leave the park, when a pair of younger trainers cut them off. "We challenge you two to a Pokemon match!," commanded the larger child. Jessie followed up with a, "Bring it on!" She would fight the older, larger male trainer. Nick would fight against the younger little girl. First Jessie would battle. She begun with her best Pokemon, Elektra the Electrabuzz. Her opponent brought out a Rattata. "Elektra, Thunderwave!" The Rattata quickly used his Quick Attack on Elektra, stunning her. But Elektra had already begun to start charging up electricity. Jessie had noticed this, and yelled "Thunderbolt!" Soon after, Elektra had shot a bolt of lightning out from him, and it connected with the rat pokemon. Rattata flew several hundred feet, and Jessie and the kid ran after it to help it. Suddenly the shy-looking girl said "I guess we should fight now." "Yeah, I guess...," Nick said. She then tossed her Pokeball up in the air, and a pink Jigglypuff came out of it. "Heh, cute," Nick thought. Nick decided to bring out his Gastly. "Jigglypuff, sing me a song!" the little girl asked of her friend. As Jigglypuff started to sing, Nick closed his ears. But after 10 seconds, he noticed something was wrong. He removed his hands from his ears. Jigglypuff was still standing there, but Gastly was unaffected. He was giggling a little. The Jigglypuff was still singing for a few more minutes, when Nick intrepid him. "Why can't your Jigglypuff put Gastly to sleep?" Nick nicely asked the young girl. She immediately broke into tears. "MY JIGGLYPUFF..." Nick was stunned. "My Jigglypuff can't sing! Well...(sniff) it can sing very well, but it can't put anyone to sleep! It's never won a battle!" The little girl definitely seemed upset. "Aww... that's ok little girl!," Nick said, as he and the Pokemon tried to comfort her. "Good pokemon don't have to be great battlers! Pokemon can also be great friends, and it seems that this Jigglypuff is a very good friend, and that's all that should matter!" "Yes, bu-but..." The girl was about to respond when her older friend and Jessie came running back to them. "We had to send the Rattata to the Pokemon Center, but it be OK!" Jessie said. The older boy suddenly grabbed the girls hand and dragged her away. Jigglypuff hobbled after them. "How did your match go? Did you win?" Jessie anxiously asked. "Uhm..." Nick had a blank mind. "Well?" Jessie asked. "Uh...Yeah." Nick finally responded. "Good!" Jessie looked at her wristwatch. "Oh my god! It's 1:45! We're going to be late for the S.S. Anne!" She immediately ran off for the Cinnabar Docks. Nick ran after her. When Jessie got to the docks, she was astounded by the size of the luxury ship. She had never seen something greater then the S.S. Anne in the rest of her life. She walked up to the gate, but had to wait as Nick trailed behind her. Nick finally caught up with her. He was panting heavily. He gave Jessie her ticket and they got on the boat. -- E-mail - team_atog@geocities.com AIM - Foratog5 Web Site - NONE Proud Owner of 5 "World's Crappiest Sig" Points, 60 "Green Italics" Points, and 5 "Best Charmander Fan" Points!
