Nick yelled. Sarah ignored him, and told Winger the Pidgotto to gain altitude. Sarah wanted to fly above the clouds so nobody could spot them; but it was to late. Something was trying to shoot down Winger with the worst thing possible. Ice Beams were coming from the ground, and Winger was swerving trying to evade the attack. Jessie fell from from the back of Winger, and almost brought Nick down with her. Luckly, Winger caught her with his claws. Nick was now struggling to hold on to Winger himself. Sarah realized she had no choice but to land. When Winger landed, Nick, Jessie, and Sarah all grabbed their Pokeballs and threw them on the ground, thus releasing them. They expected an army of Rockets with ice guns. But they saw nothing; only the deep fog that had settled in. Except for one dark figure in a trench coat. Sarah dashed madly after the figure, but Nick caught up with her and dragged her down right before a blast of ice came her way. Nick quickly got up to his feet and called for Vulcan the Charmander, who came running to his devoted master. Sarah was slow to her feet. "Josh," Sarah said, but paused because she couldn't think of what to say. "Wha...," she sighed, "why are you doing this to me?" "Why?!?" Josh exploded. His voice echoed throughout the countryside. He was definitely caught off guard by her petty question. "I can't believe you are asking me why; maybe I should remind you. When you ran away from me and Team Rocket, you were wearing your backpack." He started to settle down, even talk in a caring voice as he slowly approached Nick and Sarah. "I'm sure you remember that backpack; I gave it to you for your 9th birthday. Ah, you loved it so...You were so happy...we were so happy...back then..." It broke Sarah's heart to hear this, and she fell to her knees and cried. Josh started to daydream, but came back to the real world. "Heh...your so easy, Sarah. I can reduce you to tears quickly. Anyways, you were carrying very important papers that you were supposed to deliver to Giovanni, post haste! But you ran away from him, and now he wants me to get them." Sarah's face was now red with hatred. "Then that's too bad; I burned them with the backpack and everything else you've given me! EVER!" She wanted to start laughing, but she couldn't stop crying. Josh turned into a fit of rage. "WHY...YOU...LITTLE...BIT-" He interrupted himself. "Fine then. I'll get you back for this. Don't you forget. I'll kill you if I have to!" Sarah sprang up to her feet and hid behind Nick, who was building up anger. His left arm started to shake. Josh smirked. "In fact...maybe I'll kill you all right now. Wartortle, attack!" Nick almost fell over from hearing Josh's command. He had seen a Wartortle in his past few dreams. Out of the fog came a whirling shell, and a rather rugged-looking Wartortle popped out from it. Nick and Sarah started to slowly back away; Vulcan ran after Jessie and grabbed a hold of her leg. "Wartortle, Ice Beam her, now!" Josh barked. Nick and Sarah started to run as they held hands so neither one would get left behind. Wartortle blasted a missile of ice from it's mouth after Nick and Sarah. The first few shots missed as a chase started across the grass. Then Wartortle hit Sarah's left leg dead on. She fell to her knees, never letting go of Nick's hands. The ice expanded all over her leg, and a severe chill ran up her spine, causing her back to paralyze; she couldn't move an inch. Nick picked Sarah up into his arms, and started to run away. Then his hip went out; he fell to the ground and Sarah flew a few inches towards him. Sarah cried out in pain as Wartortle crept up next to her. Nick tried to grab it from behind, but was dazzled because of what he saw. The Wartortle had a large scar on his back. This meant that it was the evolved Squrtle that tried to kill Vulcan back on Cinnabar Island. He didn't know what to think, say, or do. Josh kneeled down to Sarah as she grabbed at her frozen leg. He petted her head, stroking her hair. He stood up and turned to Wartortle. "Finish her. Slash. Across the neck." Sarah screamed bloody murder as Wartortle slowly raised his claws. Nick screamed for him to stop, but it was useless. But the Wartortle never even touched Sarah. Elektra the Electrabuzz hit Wartortle with a Thunderbolt. Josh quickly grabbed Wartortle and left the scene. Vulcan came running up to Nick, who was still in the grass, holding his hip. Sarah was pouting like a baby. "Char...mander...Mander-Char..." Vulcan started to cry. "Vulcan," Nick said, "go melt the ice on Sarah's leg." Vulcan obeyed, and slowly melted the frozen leg. Jessie came running up to Nick and Sarah, followed by Winger. Nick slowly got to his feet. He tested his hip, and finding it was strong enough, he picked Sarah up and carried her to a hospital.
