From: Jedah, AKA real life Hayama Akito (TeamRocket@Jedah.force9.nospam.net) Subject: [PW!] Akito Meets Nisemon Newsgroups: alt.games.nintendo.pokemon Date: 2000/04/10 "Someone could just fly into the Safari Zone, you know." --------------- The young trainer had proven to be an amusing diversion for Akito. He had satisfied two of his goals in doing so. Firstly he was able to capture a Bulbasaur from the child - after Jolteon took it down easily - which he would use as his required "capture quota" back at Rocket Headquarters. Every month he was required to have captured at least 5 common Pokemon, or a particularly rare one. Besides, he didn't particularly want to keep the Bulbasaur, it seemed unusually weak. Perhaps the Rocket Scientists could do something about that. The second goal had been to feed Aerodactyl. It's metabolism required vast amounts of food - so much so Akito often thought of renaming it Snorlax. The look on the boy's face as Aerodactyl devoured Pidgeotto in one bite was... simply priceless. That wouldn't be enough to satiate it though. Unfortunately a party of mountain climbers was headed their way at the time, so the boy would have to be spared that day. He might have been able to take them all, but climbers were usually renowned for their Rock Pokemon, and as of yet he lacked something to fight them with. That would have to be corrected. ---------------- Back in flight, Akito pondered where the best place might be to pick up a Pokemon that could effectively fight Rock types. "Water. Grass. Ground." Akito was reminded of his former Golem, but they were hard to come by. Grass wasn't really his style.... to easily burned or dive bombed. The only one that really interested him was Exeggcute, because of it's psychic ability. Water was a good idea, it offered a strong counter to fire, which his Scyther was weak to. And ground wise, Akito had always wanted a Nidoking, but they were too difficult to come by, needing a Moon Stone and all. "Now I have the means to achieve that though, right here," he said, looking down at the Aeordactyl carrying him. "Krabby, Exeggcute, Nidorino, all of these are available..." he thought for a moment, "in that ridiculous Safari Zone." ---------------- Two girls were enjoying a drink outside the Pokemon Center closest to Fuschia. Suddenly the sky darkened and something flew past at temendous speed. "Did you see that?" on of them asked. "I saw it, but I don't know if I believe it." The Safari Zone stretched out before Akit, but he had on interest in going in through the tool booth. $500 for a hunt and 30 safari balls. Ridiculous. How about free? And leaving your Pokemon with them? Their morals were as bad as Team Rocket. "Down, Aero. Down into the wilderness." "ROOOOO!" Aerodactyl had already locked its eyes on a rampaging herd of Tauros who stampeded over the flatlands. Akito leaped off it's back onto a nearby tree branch. What the Aerodactyl was about to do was not pretty, so he decided to set about his capturing task whilst it ate. He walked away as Aerodactyl flew high into the air, a Tauros gripped in it's talons. Approaching a nearby lake, Akito decided to do some impromptu fishing. He didn't have a rod, but he didn't need one. Since security was so tight in the Zone, it was only a matter of minutes before the wardens would come after him in force. Force used loosely. "Jolteon, go." He held the Pokeball open and Jolteon appeared from it. "Jol!" "Jolteon, spread a thunderbolt across the water. Not too strong. Lets see what we can get." Jolteon's spikes began to crackle, and soon after a ripple of electricity struck the lake at various points. There was some agitation in the water as some barely concious Pokemon began to surface. "Goldeens, Psyducks... Magikarps.... this is all JUNK. No Krabby anywhere. Guess we might have to take an extended trip to Seafoam Islands." "Jol." Akito and Jolteon began to follow the lake, maybe it joined a river or something and there were more choice Pokemon upstream. They walked for a few minutes before Akito saw someone up ahead. The green hair wasn't something you expect to see every day - except within Team Rocket. Hmm, this looks interesting. Lets go Jolteon." He picked up the pace a little and was soon only a few metres away. The stranger was peering into the water. "What _are_ you doing." he asked. "Searching for aliens. They're real you know." "And they swim, presumably." "How should I know? They might not even exist!" "Right. I can see this would just be one of those conversations that goes nowhere if we were to continue. Since you are wandering in the Safari Zone, I assume you are without Pokemon." The stranger waved a finger dismissively, and produced one from his belt, enlarging it and pushing it out in front of him. "Ah, not so! Nisemon bring Pokemon! I don't feel like being intimidated by anyone. Not Safari Wardens. Not you. Nice hair gel, by the way." Akito almost grinned - but didn't. He similalry unclipped a Pokeball, enlarged it and stretched out his arm. "Well, this could be interesting...." TBC
