The woman at the Pokéball prison camp [Nurse Joy at the Pokémon Center, for those of you who don't know how PK Ball's mind works yet] had shown such extreme disrespect that he realized he must be doing something wrong. Of course, he had concluded that he simply needed to build up a reputation. And what better way to do that than by overthrowing the local Gym Leader? PK banged himself on the door a few times, trying to get it to open. Eventually he tried "capturing" the door's latching mechanism and releasing it elsewhere, thus removing the latch and allowing the door to be easily pushed open. Brock was focused on a comic book, which he was reading to his Vulpix. "And then Sonic says, 'Stay on the ground, Tails! The way you hover might blow our cover!' Then..." [If you can figure out which issue of the Sonic comic Brock is reading, you get 5 Andy Gave Me Points (AGMP) points.] He abruptly stopped reading and looked at the doorway, squinting even more than usual because of the bright light. "Hey, you! You might want to recall that Voltorb, there's Bomb Ball Bashers in town." "Shut up," PK said as he floated into the Gym. "I am--" "Yeah, yeah, PK Ball, liberator of enslaved Pokéballs and blah blah blah. Nurse Joy told me about you." Brock's face glowed red. "Nurse Joy..." "So, you have heard of me. You no doubt fear my awesome power. You are justified in feeling this fear." Brock, meanwhile, did not hear PK's speech because he was too busy thinking about Nurse Joy and how good her uniform looked on her. "Even when faced with the most powerful being in existance [Author's note: yeah, right!], you still bravely hold your ground, refusing to surrender. Admirable traits, indeed." Brock was wondering whay Nurse Joy would look like in a variety of alternate uniforms, all of which looked more like something out of an episode of Baywatch than a Pokémon Center nurse's uniform. "You still refuse to be overthrown, relentlessly resisting my incredible strength? Amazing." Brock had switched over considering whether Nurse Joy really had to wear a uniform at all. "And you do not even show any outward signs of your fear. Perhaps you do not fear me at all; perhaps you are too confident. And I see that this gym is very well kept, and you have excellent taste in reading materials." PK nodded to the comic book. (Brock, meanwhile, was thinking various thoughts which I cannot tell you due to the rules set down in the PW! FAQ.) "Your Pokéballs must consider it an honor to serve under a man as great as yourself. I could never force them to leave you, even if it means they must be enslaved to you forever. I will leave you in peace. Farewell." And so PK Ball left the Pewter City Gym and headed for Mt. Moon. After all, trainers generally head from Pewter City to Cerulean City... TBC -Andy &&
