"Whaa....!" Dernam's eyes snap open, ad a cold sweat bathes his face and back in icy sheets ht make him shiver. A low rumbling permeats the structure of the plane, and it vibrates ominously. Outside his window, a red glare flashes over the horizon. "Is somethig wrong? Dernam, you look like you've seen ghost." Allison spoke soothingly, but it did little to keep Dernam from questioning wat had happened. It wasa bad feeling. Something very wrong had happened. "Allison, I think... someting happened to some friends... it's hard to explain..." He felt, for almost the first time in his life, that he was on the verge of crying. It made him feel weak, and thatwas a state he hated more than any kind of pain. No stab deeper, no burn harsher, than the mere act of feeling inferior. Things are going to change. ::Elsewhere:: A form hovered over the wreckage of Ivory Island. It's piercng purple gaze looked thorugh the wreckage, seeked, and found. Mewtwo landed his full 6-plus foot body, as stately as it is hideous in all it's twisted glory, upon a large crag of what had been ATR's noble floating fortress. His eery, 3 fingered hand points at the rubble below, and ith seemingly no effort raises the debris as it it were confetti, swept away by the sweeper machine after a 4th of July parade. "Where are you? Ah, yes, that's it..." Mewtwo sweeps away a layer of fine black dust and reveals what he has looked for. The decapitated body of a young man with brwn hair and eyes, the head displaced several feet by the blast before becoming cracked over a sturdy piece of rebar sticking out of a wall. A site well capable of mking a mre man upchuck his lunch, or at least get a few dry heaves. Mewtwo simply smiles and thinks to himself. "How beautiful this is. I must admit this carbon copy is a bit hasty, but it did it's job." Mewtwo's thinking is compex, his pwe, immense. He does not make his work a simple one-step process. With yet anoher wave of his hand, he dispatches the body, using awesome psychic powers to speed the decay of the atoms until they are broken into the most simple of elements, concealing forever that ay body had ever existed there. "With this, no TR authorities will evr find the body. To there knowledge, every ATR memeber was here when the structure was eliminated. But on further inspection, which will come later, the will not find this boy." Mewtwo's unmoving lips became animated, rising into a smug grim. "By the time TR discovers that the 'head' count is off by one, they'll be too late to discover Dernam returning from his vacation in the Japanese mainland. True, I could've left the body and kept Dernam in peace, but that would be no fun. Nor would alerting him to TR's intelligence agency, thus resulting in immediate capture. How utterly dull. This way, I'm sure the resiliant little brat will give TR a run for it's money, and that will be fun to watch, oh yes it will!" Mewtwo raised his head to the heavens, directly toward a commercial 747 jet on the horizon, and laughed to himself. And Deram, though not another person so much as flinched, swore he heard something laughing. Laughing at him. TBC. Ha ha, ha ha, ha. Permission to kill me my arse ~_^
