"Pierre, quick use a tackle attack!" Well almost. Taron called to his pokemon as it faced off against it's opponent, a weedle. "It's time to beat this thing." The small caterpie lunged towards the weedle hitting it headfirst and knocking it out. Pierre stood up proudly. "Well," Taron asked. "Anything yet?" The caterpie shook it small head and squeaked. "Nothing? *Sigh* Alright, I guess we'll have to find something else to fight. It looks like you're going to need more expeience." he took two pokeballs off of his belt. "Talon, Tumbleweed come on out." Two bright flashes of white light momentarily lit up the darkened forest, then all was quiet again. "Ok, I need to get Pierre to evolve, so I need you two to go out and chase back something for him to battle." "Sand." "Row." And with that the two dissapeared into the thick foliage. Taron turned to his caterpie. "Okay, here's what you gotta do. When you see a weedle or something about to attack you, duck or get out of the way. Hopefully they'll crash and hurt themselves. That's called using your opponents strength against them." Pierre nodded. "Pikachu!!!!" A distressed sounding voice called and a pikachu leaped into view, followed by another caterpie. This was subsequently followed by Talon and Tumbleweed. "Uh guys, not to be picky or anything, but, a PIKACHU??" "Sand shrew!" Taron sighed and rubbed the back of his head. "Ok, yeah I didn't specify but still... oh well experience is experience I suppose." "Row?" "Uh no you CAN'T eat the other caterpie when we're done." "Spe.." Taron sighed again. "Man I'm getting a headache. Ok listen Tumbleweed, whenever that Pikachu starts to charge an electric attack, you jump in and take the hit. You're a ground type remember so..." "Sand shrew?" "What do you mean 'what Pikachu?'" He pointed off to his left. "The pikachu that's right there!" "Sand?" "I told you the pikachu that's... right....son of a.... It's gone!" "Sand shrew sand sand." "Why didn't you tell me it's been gone for five minutes?" Tumbleweed shrugged it's little shoulders. "Sand." "Hey, listen pal just because I'm blind doesn't mean I'm.... huh?" Taron heard a rustling behind him and turned around to see (or rather hear) his caterpie and the wild caterpie going at it. the wrestling match went on for about five minutes. Then he heard the sound of a caterpie panting, all he heard from the other one was a shallow breathing. "Pi?" the voice sounded shocked. Taron then heard what sounded like a computer powering up. then a moment later. "Metapod?" "Yes!!" Taron yelled. "It finally evolved." He jumped around hooting excitedly in a very Ash-like way. "Sand sand shrew." Taron's excitement screeched to a grinding halt, he gulped the facefaulted. "What..do you mean... it was the other caterpie....that...evolved?" "Sand shrew." Taron groaned. TBC. Ok this was a pretty pointless story, but it was fun to write.^_^
