Adam could see through the crack in the door that Malk was being beaten by the two of the shorts kids that had jumped them, and Stephanie was tied to a chair, and was being stared at by the leader of the shorts kids. And he could also see that his Alakazam was battling Adam's Mr. Mime. "Fight it..." Adam muttered to himself "What'll we do Adam" Michelle asked "Um, okay, here's the plan..." Adam started Adam explained that he would help Malk, while she was to free Stephanie. They closed the door silently and headed off to help their friends. Adam ran stealthily over to some crates where he could see Malk, but the Shorts Kids couldn't see him. Michelle did likewise for Stephanie. Adam tried to signal Malk, who was chained to the wall. Adam and Malk made eye contact, and Adam tried to tell him to go on the count of three. Meanwhile, Michelle looked for something that could cut the rope with. She looked around till she found a broken piece of glass that had fallen from a window. She quickly grabbed the glass and awaited Adam's signal. Adam held his hand up for Malk to see, and held up each finger till he got to three. "1...2...3" Malk started pulling on the chains, and was pulling free from the wall. This quickly got the attention of the two shorts kids that was watching over him, they charged at him and starting attacking him. Adam got up from his hiding spot and rushed in to help his friend. The screams of battle got to the ears of the shorts kids leader and he went to see what was happening. "Now's my chance" Michelle mumbled Michelle ran behind the chair and started to cut the rope that held Stephanie to it. Stephanie knew to be quiet while Michelle was cutting. The glass quickly cut through the rope and Stephanie was free. They snuck there way over to where Adam and Malk were fighting. Adam and Malk had managed to take care of the shorts kids. Michelle and Stephanie started to walk over to them when the leader grabbed Stephanie and backed away. "Nobody move, or she'll never be the same again" the leader said holding a 3 small stones in his hand. "Do you recognize these?" he spoke again Adam, Malk, and Michelle stared at the stones but couldn't recognize them. "Kazam, let's go" The shorts kid leader ordered Kazam was winning the psychic battle against his Mr. Mime opponent, but stopped and followed orders. Mr. Mime, though the the physical type, ran up behind Kazam, turned him around and punched him in the face, sending him flying into Stephanie and the shorts kid leader. They smacked into the wall and the Shorts kid dropped the stones, the yellow and blue smashed against the ground, while the red one landed on Stephanie. Stephanie got up and walked over to her brother and friends. "Thanks, you guys" Stephanie smiled "Are you Ok?" Malk asked "Yeah, I think so...." Stephanie replied "OH!! MY BODY!!! IT HURTS ALL OVER" Stephanie screamed in pain seconds before she collapsed into unconsciousness. "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" screamed Malk as he picked his sister up and ran out of the room. "HAHAHAHA!!!! She will.... never.. be... the same.... again" the shorts kid mentioned before fainting. Adam and Michelle ran after Malk, and managed to find him at the PokéCenter. Malk was fighting back tears as he watched his sister unconscious and glowing. Nurse Joy walked into the room and told Malk, that everything was going to be okay, it was just that the eevee part of her reacted to the "red stone" and she is evolving into a Flareon. Malk was very relieved that she was in no danger. "We'll the evolution affect her personality any" Malk asked Nurse Joy "Sorry, but there is no way to tell as of yet. We'll have to wait and hope for the best" Joy replied < several hours later > "hmmmmmmm...ummmm, Where am I?" Stephanie asked as she sat up. "Are you all right" Malk asked "Do you feel any different" "No, why do you ask" Stephanie replied "Good, her personality didn't change" Nurse Joy commented "What are you talking about" Stephanie said, unaware of her evolution "Follow me" Nurse Joy said to Stephanie < few minutes later > "What happened to me" Stephanie asked "That shorts kid dropped a Fire Stone on you" Adam replied "Oh! Anyway, it could of been worse" Stephanie commented "Yeah" Malk replied "Anyway, I could get use to being a Flareon" Stephanie said They all agreed that they had along a tiring day, they headed towards the nearest hotel to stay for the night.
