She looked around at a setting that was both familiar and strange. It had been months since she had been back in her bedroom in Rosetta. Shields was asleep in his bed. Cuddles and Spunky had curled up together on the foot of her bed. Pteryx slept in an opened drawer in a makeshift next, her head tucked under her tiny wing. Shelve with Pokemon figurines and toys and posters of Pokemon covered the walls. It felt really good to be home. And for a change, she would have _all_ of her pokemon with her - not just the required 6. Sarah Jane stretched again. Among familiar settings, she began to feel an ease that she hadn't felt in weeks. Sarah Jane opened the curtains, and looked out her window. The sun had just risen. Many of the Pokemon were stirring on the grounds close to the house. A few research students who had been up all night studying nocturnal pokemon behavior staggered towards the house. A few others were coming out from one of the storage facilities with buckets of pokemon food in hand. "Fweeeee?" heard Sarah Jane. She turned her head to see a beautiful pink Butterfree flying towards her. "Beeee fweeee!" "Ariel," said Sarah Jane. "I've missed you." Ariel landed on the windowseat and nuzzled her trainer. "Fweeeee...." "I know. It's hard to call all of you when I need to," apologized Sarah Jane softly as she stroked the Butterfree's head. "While I'm here, I'm going to try and spend time with all of you." "BEEEEE!!!" Excitedly, Ariel flew off to tell some of the others. "AWWWKKK!!!" "Niiiii....." Sarah Jane walked over and picked up the now awake baby Aerodactyl. Spunky looked at Sarah Jane with an air of irritation. "I'm sorry if Ariel and Pteryx woke you. Go back to sleep if you want." With a growl, Spunky jumped off the bed, accidently kicking his sister in the practice. Cuddles sat up and growled threateningly at her brother. "It's too early for this you two. Let's see about some breakfast," interrupted Sarah Jane before a fight could break out. Cuddles also jumped off the bed. "AWWWK AWWK AAAWWWKKK!!!!" "I know, you're hungry too." Sarah Jane left the Mr. Mime asleep in his bed while she and the others made their way through the house to the kitchen. One of the research students was in the kitchen. "Hey, welcome back," he said. "Thanks. Are Grandma and Grandpa up?" "Dr. Eckert had to go to the university this morning, and Mrs. Eckert ran into town. They should be back this evening." "Thanks," said Sarah Jane as the student left.
