Subject: [PW!] Just another day at the beach?

He had soared through the skies many times before, but something was
different this time. He tried to put his finger (or claw in this case)
on it.
"Ahhh, that?s it," Drake thought to himself "There?s a Meowth digging
it?s claws into the back of my neck."
The Dragonite turned his head just enough to catch the Meowth digging
into him out of the corner of his eye. He shouted back to his
passenger.
"If you anchor in any deeper you could kill me and we?ll both end up in
a
watery grave."
"" The
response
coming from the Meowth was almost like a mantra that it was chanting.
"What?s wrong? I thought cats liked high places." When he found the
answer to his question to be no different to what the Meowth was already
saying, Drake decided to try something else. "Listen, Memuyo, flying is
pretty much the fastest way to get to the beach, so calm down."
Memuyo continued to chant and Drake figured something else was
needed. He looked down and to his side, catching sight of the beach.
It
was already well-populated without alot of open spaces. Some spaces
had opened up because people had started to congregate around the
stage. He saw what looked like a prime spot over by an isolated
telephone booth.
"Hey, if you want us to get to solid ground as quick as possible, open
up
Shellder?s pokeball."
This seemed to be what the Meowth wanted to hear. It released its front
claws and moved off the pokeball that it had been pinning onto the
Dragonite?s neck. It quickly slapped a paw on the button on front of
the
sphere. The ball opened and a white glow shot out. A Shellder
materialized out of the glow, a little in front of and above the
Dragonite?s
shoulder. It fell into the Dragonite?s waiting hand (or at least the
closest
he had to it).
Drake looked at the Shellder for only the second time ever. It seemed
attentive enough as it stared out with its big, round eyes. It also
seemed
like a drooling vegetable with its tongue hanging out and flapping in
the
breeze. He truly hoped that the former was more of the case, so that it
would understand what he was about to say.
"Okay Shellder, do you see that open area of the beach near the phone
booth?" He turned the bivalve so it would be looking directly at that
spot, pointing with his other hand just to make sure. There was no
discernible response, but he was hoping that the water pokemon was just
making a verbal response that was being ripped away by the wind. He
decided that it would be best not to wait to find out since he was
starting
to cast a huge shadow on the beach. He wasn?t looking to terrorize some
tourists and cause problems for himself. "Shellder, teleport us there
now!"
Anyone looking up to see the source of the massive shadow that started
to sweep across the beach, caught sight of the dragon shape just as it
disappeared into the sun. On the beach itself, a tourist was knocked
cold
as the door to a phone booth slammed open. A costumed Persian that
leaped out caught everyone?s attention so that they didn?t notice the
flash
of light that signaled the abrupt arrival of other pokemon to the beach.
A pair of wings flapped powerfully and legs dug into the sand to halt
the
momentum that Drake still had. Out of the corner of his eye he saw a
flash of lightning that he figured was a powerful electrical attack. It
was
accompanied by the ambient music on the beach suddenly momentarily
shifting to something resembling a dramatic theme song.
"Siiian!" rang out and a streak of cream and black shot by, kicking up a
cloud of sand in its wake.
The Dragonite coughed at the sand that had just been kicked up in his
face. On his shoulder, the Shellder began to spit to in an attempt to
get
the sand removed from its tongue. It finally gave up and just used a
Water Gun to clean off the only thing that it had that resembled a limb.
"What was that?" someone asked from nearby. Drake had much the same
sentiment. He quickly recalled Shellder and made sure that Memuyo was
comfortably on the sandy beach instead of attached to something that it
could draw blood from. With the Meowth following, the Dragonite
chased after the receding sand cloud.
