Josh did a good job of swiftly dodging the crowd as he dragged Hoku away. He
failed to lose Griffin, though, who was right behind their trail. Josh
finally lost Girffin, and he ducked into a cabin. This was exactly how Sarah
was attacked.
Hoku tried to escape from Josh, but he was to powerful. While holding her
and covering her mouth, Josh used his other hand to try to get the ring she
was wearing. She tried her best to keep her hand moving so Josh wouldn't get
the ring, but after a few minutes he finnaly succedded. Josh made the fatal
mistake of letting Hoku go. She kicked Josh's hand, and the ring went flying
out the window. Hoku screamed bloody murder, and in no time someone made
their way through the door. She expected Griffin to come to her rescue, but
it wasn't him.
This person was very tall and muscular, a lot more than Griffin could ever
be. His hair was wildly shooting upward into the sky; it must have been a
dozen inches high. (Think Goku.)
"So we meet again, Josh." His voice was very mature and intimidating. Josh
was taken by surpirse; this was someone he knew from his past.
"Austin."

Nick pressed his hands against his forehead. Something wasn't right. He
kinda felt woozy, but he shook it off. He was in the hospital room with
Marley, who was hiding under a pillow.
"Come on, Marley. You need to eat something," he pleaded.
She was very hungry, but eating would mean she would have to show her face.
If Nick saw how beaten she looked, it'd be all over for her. Marley looked
horrible with her bruised eye. She tried to think of an excuse.
"I already ate."
"Dammit", she thought. "That won't work. I haven't had a chance to eat since
Josh attacked me. He won't fall for it."
"Come on, Marley. I'm serious. You need the energy."
"I can't. I uh..." She paused for a minute.
Marley sighed to herself. "I might as well show my face. If he doesn't like
it, I guess he doesn't really care for me like I thought."
She slowly turned her head towards Nick. When Marley faced him, she lifted
the pillow. Nick's reaction surprised her. He had no reaction; it didn't
phase him at all.
"Your eggs will get cold if you don't eat 'em now."
Marley was relieved. Nick helped her sit up and she ate her breakfast.

Josh grabbed for his katana. "What the hell are you doing here, Austin?"
"I'm here to stop you. You have no chance; leave now before it's too late."
Josh cringed as he drew back his katana for his attack. Austin was to quick
for him, as he quickly kicked Josh into a wall.
"I was always stronger and faster than you. Hell, I was the only one who
could fight back against our father." He smirked, and looked at Hoku. "Are
you OK?"
She was taken by surpirse by Austin's sudden change of attitude. He gave her
his hand, and helped Hoku to her feet. They walked out of the cabin, leaving
Josh in a bloody mess.
Struggling to get up, Josh crawled out the door and over to the window where
the ring was thrown out of. After a lot of back-breaking labor, he found the
ring. He ran away, laughing insanely.

"This is very akward," Nick thought to himself. "I'm just sitting here,
quietly, with a beautiful girl who I can't get out of my head. I can't stand
this silence. It's killing me. I gotta think of something."
Then he got a great idea.
"Hey, do you want to see my Pokemon? Maybe they can cheer you up."
Marley was skeptical. Nick dug into his pockets and took out two Pokeballs.
He tossed them onto the bed, and out came Gastly and Vulcan the Charmander.
"Vuclan, Gastly, meet Marley. She's a bit sad right now, so try to make her
happy."
The Charmander wobbled over to Marley and hugged her. Vulcan's instant
baby-like attitude made Gaslty laugh.
"Char...mander-char, charmander..."
"Har Har Har...Gastly..."
Marley actually giggled. She felt better now.

Jessie and Griffin were franticly looking for Hoku. Just before they were
about to lose their heads, they found her with a stranger. Hoku ran into
Griffin' open arms.
"I'm sorry I couldn't help you."
"Don't be," she said as they kissed.
Griffin looked at Austin. "Thanks a lot, man. What's your name?"
"Austin." They shook hands.
"Do you have a last name?," Hoku asked.
"No... I'm an orphan, so-"
"You are??," Jessie inturupted him.
She made Austin feel uncornfortable. "Yeah, I guess so."
"Don't worry. We all are." Jessie put her hand on Austin's arm. She held
back as she felt his muscles. Jessie ignored this, though, as her eyes were
fixated on Austin's necklace. To her amazement, it was the same crystal
necklace that Nick and Sarah had. Could this mean that Austin was their long
lost brother?
"How would you like us to treat you to dinner? I have some friends I'd like
you to meet."

Gastly and Vulcan were playing games with Marley when a doctor came into the
room. He looked through some papers on his clipboard.
"Well, Marley, we think that you've made a fast recovery," he said. "You
don't have any severe injures, and you can go back to your cabin." This news
made both Nick and Marley very happy. After she got dress, they left the
hospital room. When they came to Marley's cabin, the someone waiting inside.
He was an elderly man, wearing a black tux and holding a clipboard. He said
hello to Marley, then asked Nick to talk to him outside.
"My name is Dr. Turthque. Marley's doctor wanted me to have a one-on-one
chat with her. I am a psychiatrist. Just making sure that she is OK"
Although he wondered why Marlay needed to see a psychiatrist, Nick knew it
must have been for the best. Dr. Turthque talked to Marley for about a half
hour. Finally, he quietly walked out of the room.
"Is everything OK, doctor?," Nick asked.
"No. I'm afraid that Marley was raped by her attacker when she was
unconcious."
Nick's heart stopped in it's tracks. The worst possible situation for Marley
had happened. Rage started to build up in him. He started to get very hot.
Nick's mind felt like he was on fire. If he got his hands on Josh, he'd
crush him. Nick closed his eyes and leaned against the wall. After banging
his head against the wall a few times, he opened his eyes to find the doctor
had disappeared. He sighed, and entered Marley's cabin.
She was curled up into a ball, crying hystericly, on a large folding chair.
Her eyes were wide open, except for when she would momentarily squint them
to drain her tears out. Nick was heartbroken to see Marley like this. He
struggled to think of something to say.
"I'm...sorry, I heard what happened."
Marley didn't answer.
"If there is anything I can do to help you, please say so."
Marley knew there was only one thing that could make her feel better now.
She wanted Nick to say he loved her. That was the only thing she wanted now;
someone to love her. She left so alone.
Nick sat down next to her in the chair and put his arm around her. He held
hands with Marley. Her heart jumped. Nick's hands felt so smooth and warm.
She didn't expect him to do this. She rested her head on his chest. Already
she started to stop crying.
"I just want to let you know," Nick began, "that I care about you."
This made her extremly happy to hear this. Marley had been waiting for him
to say this. She wished she could say the same, but she was afraid to.
Marley started to cry again.
"I will never let Josh hurt you ever again. I swear my life on it; I will
protect you around the clock."
Marley started cry even more now, and her tears were now soaking Nick's
shirt. He was willing to put his life on the line for her. "Does he love
me?", she thought. "No, he's just trying to make me feel better."
Nick noticed how much Marley was crying. It hurt him so much to see her this
sad, and not being able to help her feel better. He wanted to say he loved
her, but the fear of rejection was too great. Nick hesitated, and thought
about what he should do or say next. Without thinking, he kissed Marley on
the forehead.
Her heart suddenly kicked into full-gear. Nick totally took Marley by
surprise, and now her head was rushing with millions of thoughts every
second. She tried to comprehend what they were.
She couldn't make up her mind. Too many views, not a sure road to take on
this. She was so afraid that he would reject her. Then what would happen?
Nick probably wouldn't want to be with her anymore, and that would make
things even worse. But she just had to say it. Her heart was swealing with
emotions, and she needed to let them out.
After taking minutes to muster the strength to say what she wanted to say,
Marley put her heart out on the line.
"I love you, Nick."
She closed her eyes, fearing his responce. Saying it actually made her feel
better. But Nick said nothing.. Slowly, Marley looked up at him.
He was asleep.
"Oh nooooooooo...," Marley cried. She sounded like a sad puppy howling at
the moon.
She quietly started to sob. It took her so long to finally say that, and
after failing, she left like she could never say it again. For every second
that Marley thought about it, she cried harder and louder. She got to the
point where she should have awakened Nick up; she was crying so loud. Marley
felt so bad, like she had never felt before. She clenched her eyes and
lightly pounded Nick's chest with her fists.
She poured all the emotions she had trapped in herself as tears. After what
seemed to be forever, she cried herself to sleep.
