>"Yes," he hissed. "She is indeed very powerful... I'm sure her
>brother is evern stronger..."
Arcturus chuckled quietly. He stared directly into the
light with his green eyes, which were reflecting the light from
the crystal in a very cat-like manner. He reached forward with
his long, grey, wrinkled fingers. He touched the crystal with
his palm. But when he made contacts he screeched with pain and
was flung back into the wall. He slid down and raised his hand,
he looked with anger at the crystal's shape, which was now
burned into his hand. He noticed the fact that the skin on that
palm was also burnt from an...earlier encounter. He quietly
mumbled, "Soon.....I'll get you soon.....Dreadite." His thoughts
were interrupted by Josh.
Josh was yelling something at Arcturus. Arcturus's short
antennae, which dangled from the back of his head, could barely
understand Josh's words. He picked up something along the lines
of, "How....can we....stop this?" Arcturus stood up and
yelled, "Joshua, grab the needle with the sleeping person on
it." Josh looked around on the table of surgical equipment and
found it. Arcturus ambled over and snatched it out of Josh's
hand. Reaching under the sheets he grabbed Sarah's arm and
carefully poked the syringe into Sarah's skin. Sarahs stopped
screaming and fell silent. The crystal also stopped as well.
Arcturus helped Josh up and dusted him off. "Well, that
should keep her asleep until morning." Josh was still a bit
weary from the experience. Arcturus said, "Come now, I shall
show you around Nemesis.
Josh and Arcturus walked throught the dim, blue hall of
the fallen ship Nemesis. The walls were rounded a bit, with no
indication of being seperate sheets of metal. The floor was hard
and metallic, it vibrated with the low throbbing of the ship's
power source. Josh broke out of his awe to ask, "So...how big is
the ship?" Arcturus shrugged, "No idea...most of it is filled
with water. I haven't a clue what could be submerged."
Soon, they reached the end of the hall. The room at the
end was massive and dark. Josh couldn't see the other side in
the deep black. Arcturus stepped forward onto a platform, which
was hovering just under the doorway. Josh stepped on carfully,
he could feel it bob slightly as he stepped on. Arcturus spoke
in a strange, rumbling language, "Computer, moray san gak." The
platfrom began to move. Arcturus said, "I've almost converted
the computer to human languages. I still have to say a few words
in my own language though." As the platform moved he spoke
up, "Computer, lights."
The gigantic room became illuminated in bright blue light.
Josh gazed at the massive room. It was circular, and about 30
meters in diameter. The walls of the room glowed with an eerie
blue light. In the middle of the room floated a circular blue
platform which was about 4 meters in diameter. The platform was
ringed with control panels. In the center of the platform was a
large chair. It looked out of place in the sleek platform.
The platform that they were on finally reached the center
platform and they stepped off. Arcturus sat on the chair in the
center and settled into it. Josh looked around, after a while he
finally said, "Pfft, what a waste of space." Arcturus ignored
the snide comment of Josh. Josh looked at Arcturus, "What do we
do now?" Arcturus shrugs, "I don't know. Wait for Giovanni to
give us a mission, I suppose." Josh narrowed his eyes, "And
Sarah?" Arcturus glanced at him, "Who? Oh yes..the girl. Just as
long as you don't take her away she's fine."
