Tania Hotaru and Rigel sat in the living room of their cabin. None of them spoke a word for a long time until Hotaru finally broke the silence, "So er daughter... what have you been up to?" Rigel sighed sadly and said, "I've been through lots of things. And it's mostly been with... Neo..." She sniffed sadly. Hotaru gave Rigel a funny look before continuing, "Heh you like him don't you?" "No! Um....yes...." Rigel sighed. Hotaru laughed lightly, "You are my daughter I know you. Where is he anyway?" "I don't know. He left me a note saying that he would never see me again... and he gave me his Eevee." Rigel pointed at the cute brown pokemon sitting next to her. "I see... I haven't seen your 'auntie' either..." Hotaru frowned slightly. "Do you think that they..." Rigel stopped holding back her tears. Hotaru looked awkward, she didn't know what to say, "Er um... You'll find the right guy for you out there, but certainly not now." "Who knows? Maybe your right." Rigel said, Hotaru sighed relieved to see she wasn't going to cry. "Maybe Maybe..." Hotaru paused realizing she needed and wanted to ask Rigel about Lance. "What about your father?" "I don't know. I haven't seen him in a while," Rigel said coldly and then added softly, "Like I care how he is." Hotaru raised her eyebrows, "Why.. how come you are sore at him?" Rigel looked slightly upset, "He never really payed any attention to me." "Figures," Hotaru shook her head. "What about Sirius?" "He's alright. He was out doing something with Anti-Team Rocket last I saw him," Rigel looked puzzled when Hotaru started laughing. "What's so funny?" "I can't imagine Sirius doing anything like that," Hotaru shrugged. "Oh, well..." "About your father, don't worry too much he never paid much attention to anything, only his job." Hotaru said interrupting Rigel. "Yes, it hurt though." Hotaru looked sideways, "I know it did." "No one really ever care about me. The were amazed at the incredible Lance Raynor, CEO of the Pokemon League. With all his fancy dinners and such," Rigel said looking more upset, and then added angrily, "They saw his two sons Sirius and Orion and how they were very good trainers...no one ever noticed me." "Lance..." Hotaru looked down, "Heh you'll be the best of them don't worry, I know you can be..." "Thanks for saying that," Rigel smiled. Hotaru paused, "Is your father still a big flirt?" Rigel laughed, "Yes, a huge one. It's as if he never had a wife." "Figures..." Hotaru muttered miserably. "Um...sorry." "Why?" Hotaru said coolly. "I shouldn't have said the thing about him never having a wife." "Well..." Hotaru sighed, "He does acts like that..." "No doubt about it," Rigel agreed. "So who's he going out with now?" Hotaru asked sarcastically, "Lorelei?" "No...well...not yet. He flirts with her. But she usually punches him before he can do much." Rigel a punching motion with her fist, Hotaru laughed. "Lorelei is a proper woman, she has a husband last I heard. Has your father got no shame?" Hotaru frowned deeply. Rigel shrugged, "Who knows?" she chuckled. Hotaru laughed, "So what else has happened while I was gone?" "Nothing much..I've got a funny story about Lance though. If you want to hear it." Rigel paused. Hotaru shrugged, "Go ahead." Rigel jumped up excitedly , "Well...I had raised a stink about having to go to another one of his dinners. Because I would *not* wear a dress. So Agatha babysat me, and when Lance came to pick me up.....well...." Rigel started laughing, "Agatha started coming onto Lance. It was soooo funny." Hotaru raised an eyebrow, "AGATHA?Ahahahahhahahaha." "Of course she wasn't serious. She was just joking about his flirty ness." Rigel grinned. Hotaru shook her head, "Good old Agatha." Rigel turned to pat Eevee and sighed sadly. "Hm, you miss Neo a lot... you'll get over him." "Yes I hope so," Hotaru decided to change the conversation, "How many badges do you have now?" "Two, the Boulder and Cascade badges," Rigel said proudly. "Nice, that only leaves six to go." "Yes..we should get back to Vermillion city. I want my Thunderbadge!" Rigel smiled determined. " What pokemon do you have now?" Rigel turned to look for her pokeballs, "Neo's Eevee, a Charmeleon, Wartortle, Ivysaur, Golem, and Pidgeotto right now. My Dratini is at Neo's Mom's Breeding center in Lavender." "Good good." Hotaru said standing up, Rigel also stood up. Hotaru stopped and turned around, "Who is your father currently dating?" she asked in an icy tone. "Pffft, like I care." Rigel answered. "Thought so," Hotaru grabbed a pokeball, "Anyway how we getting to Vermilion now?" Rigel paused, "Beats me..." "Hm, care for a swim?" Hotaru asked. "Oh boy...yes..." Hotaru grabbed her bag, "Get your stuff. I hope you don't carry much." Rigel gulped, "Uh... okay." Hotaru and Rigel walked outside, and stood next to the ship's railing. Hotaru leaned over elegantly."Lapras go!" She said throwing the pokeball. "Laprassss lap," Lapras gazed at it's master. "Go, Suiko!" Rigel called out her Wartortle. "Nice very nice," Hotaru jumped over the railing into the water followed by Rigel. Hotaru climbed onto Lapras, while Rigel held on to Suiko. " You ready?" "Yep," Rigel nodded. Hotaru smiled, "Let's go then!" Lapras swam forward. "Hey wait for me!" Rigel called out. "Hurry up," Hotaru sighed, and then commanded Lapras to carry on. "This is going to be very interesting," Hotaru thought to herself. "We'll see each other again Lance, and next time we meet, I will win." T.B.C.
