Pokemon Tower, Lavender Town.
The early morning mist drifted through the tall, imposing structure's
open windows, the fog filling the air inside and giving the cemetary
an eerie, spooky feel. A single Chaneller slept near the foot of a
grave, the headstone obscured by the dawn haze. The sun shone directly
into the second-top floor of the tower, illuminating the mist.
Barely noticeable due to the fog, a thin stream of purple gas began to
filter out of the floor around the headstone near which the unaware
Channeler slept. More jets of ethereal smoke emerged from the base of
the headstone, still concealed. Soon, the headstone itself was
engulfed in a thick purple smog, billowing around the grey object.
[PW!] Night Shade.

A form began to coalesce, the top flattened out, the side narrowed
down to a point while exntending long, thin spines. Two smaller clouds
stretched out into long, thin streaks of purple gas. Two small sparks
of light shone out from the middle of the cloud, expanding into balls
of glowing energy.
With a flash of light, the newly-formed Haunter rose up to the
ceiling, to survey its new surroundings. The blast of spectral energy
had woken the Chaneller from her slumber, but she was too late to do
anything. A swirling bolt of blue energy entered her body without a
sound, and the old woman collapsed to the ground moments later, a
horrific expression twisted onto her face.
Manic cackling filled the room, as Night Shade, once-deceased member
of Team Rocket, rose up through the ceiling, though the mausoleum and
out into the open skies.
------
Night Shade felt different now that she had taken a new form. The
disembodied hands were difficult to control, and floating in any
particular direction felt a little strange, but all things considered,
she felt great to be back. Especially with psionic powers and the
ability to walk through walls.
She'd cunningly arranged to be buried in the Pokemon Tower, where
Chanellers frequently awoke the spirits of long-dead Pokemon. One such
medium had attempted to awaken her, but before the binding spell could
be cast to prevent her from leaving the Pokemon Tower, Night Shade put
the Chaneller to sleep with her first-ever Hypnosis attack. Waiting
until dawn, and she had the cover of morning mist as well as an empty
Pokemon Tower, Night Shade attempted to escape from her confines in
the netherworld, and suceeded.
Things looked different, at least, they could have done. Night Shade's
memories weren't readily accessible, sixty years in the void would
have that effect on almost anyone. Lavender Town was a lot larger,
more of a city than the small mountain village it was before. In the
distance she could see the tops of many skyscrapers, though she seemed
to recall that Saffron City had only the one during her lifetime. The
world had definately changed, somehow.
Settling herself down in some trees, she watched two young boys square
off for a Pokemon battle. Each carried six Pokeballs, a comparative
luxury compared to the old times where owning a mere two of the red
and white spheres marked one to be quite wealthy indeed. Though
Pokeballs had been in use for centuries, the ancient artifacts used
throughout history, it seemed that the ability to manufacture them was
now an ability man possessed. Maybe now they could actually catch
Pokemon without so much difficulty, Night Shade recalled how she
fought with a Rattata, her first catch, for almost an hour before she
managed to subdue it for the Pokeballs' grasp.
Which would, due to the fact that she is now a Pokemon, mark her for
capture by any self-respecting trainer with a Sliph Scope. She needed
a body, and she needed it now. Through the haze and fog that was her
blurred and distorted memory, she remembered having a child and
putting it up for adoption. The body shape wouldn't be too different,
unless the child had been male, it was too hard for the Haunter to
concentrate now that her mind had such a direct control over her body.
At such a young age, any troublesome "soul" could be pushed out of the
mind and into the immaterium. The question is, where did she leave it?
Night Shade's form faded into the air as the Haunter teleported
herself to Rosetta Town, the place of her eventual capture all those
years ago. Not only would there be a body for her, but multitudes of
highly trained Pokemon to present to Team Rocket as a homecoming gift.
(OOC: Her WG's coming in around a week, when she possesses her first
victim.)
