Jon handed Dr. Eckert Damian's backpack. "Good thing this is a 9 passenger van," said Julia as she put her backpack in. "I figured everyone would want to come to Rosetta for a break, and the distance isn't far enough to warrent riding Pidgeots," explained Dr. Eckert. "It's only a 2 hour drive from here." "That's good. We can _all_ use a break." said Jon as he slid into one of the seats. Mari and Kat walked up to the van. "Are we ready?" asked Kat. "Just waiting for Mrs. Eckert and Sarah Jane," said Damian as he climbed into the van, followed by Julia. Suddenly the hotel door burst open. Spunky dashed out at full speed, with Cuddles close behind. The two lept into the open door of the van. "GAH!" shouted Damian in surprise as Cuddles lept into his lap. Shields followed, shaking his head in exasperation. Then Lillian came out with Sarah Jane. Sarah Jane climbed into the van next to Damian. He noticed a far off look in Sarah Jane's face. "We have to talk to her once we get back to Rosetta," Lillian whispered to her husband. "It's really bothering her.... and I don't mean the loss." Xavier Eckert nodded. The van took off down the road, Dr. Eckert driving. Shields sat in the front seat between Dr. and Mrs. Eckert. Sarah Jane sat in the next row of seats, Pteryx on her lap. Cuddles was on Damian's lap next to her, and Spunky had finally settled himself in an uncomfortable Jon's lap. Julia, Kat, and Mari were talking in the back row of seats.
