From: SleepyAlakazam (chadderh@aol.comhggfass) Subject: [PW!] Oolanko's Escape Newsgroups: alt.games.nintendo.pokemon Date: 2000/04/02 Warning: This PokeWars story contains graphic depictions of bodily injury. The squeamish and young children may not want to read this. Oolanko rolled down the spike, now receiving more wounds to care about. He finally hit the floor of the pit, landing with a hard thump. "Gah...I'm...not bleeding? What the?" said Oolanko as he returned his hand from a scrape of his back. No blood from the injuries. He began to wonder to himself...what was he now? Was he even human? More thoughts to worry his mind...just what he needed. But he didn't need to think about that right now. He had remembered his death now; This pit was near Pewter City. If only he could get out, he might get some rest and dwell upon his thoughts. He might even find some answers. "I still can't feel in my left hand. Maybe I could use that to my advantage..." he said as he reached for a broken piece of a spike. Palm-sized, and sharp, he thought he might be able to dig it into the soft walls of the pit and climb up. Maybe... "No feeling...just as I had hoped." Oolanko grabbed the rock with his bony fingers, squeezing tightly. "Now...my right hand. I can feel it, definately. The sharp points on this...maybe I can edge them off with the other spike." he said as he ran the spike he held along the sides of the other one. He had to hold the other spike, and he hated the pain. But if it could get him out of here, he'd be more than happy to do it. "Good. Enough is off so I can hold it without much pain." Oolanko's happy thoughts faded away quickly as he was reminded of his abdominal injury. He still couldn't see how he was alive...but wait. What's this? "That feeling...so warm...so embracing...so wonderful. What's happening?" he said as he cocked his head downward. The warm feeling came from his wound...it was healing. The dried blood seemed to vanish into thin air; His spine became one again. The pain channeled away, he now felt a gush of joy and happiness. Ah, the ecstasy. Now he felt he had the strength to achieve his objective. It all gave him hope. "Wonderful...how it healed, I'm not going to ask. I just want out of here." Oolanko stood up and headed for the walls, digging each spike into the soft rock. He began his climb. Will Oolanko get out? What happens if he reaches the top? Is he human...? Find out, in the next exciting installment!
