"Phase One"

The guards wandered off after recieving some sort of message through their
headsets. As the guards left, so did the Scyther.
"Heh," Trent whispered. He got up and looked around. He had pretended to
sleep so that the guards would have no problem with leaving him unattended.
What fools. While Katherine really was sleeping, Trent took the bottle of Pepto
Bismol and stuck his arm out of the bars.
He aimed for the control panel on the other side, wondering why Lynch had
been stupid enough to build it right where he could reach it. Trent threw the
bottle at the control panel.
As the bottle shattered, the pink liquid covered the control panel, shorting
it out with gooey indigestion-relieving goodness. Several of the cells
immediately opened and the lights began to flicker. Unfortunately, Trent
remained imprisoned.
"DAMMIT!"
"Trent, what's going on?"
"Don't worry about it, just go back to sleep, Kate. Time for plan B." This
would be a while, as Trent's backup plan required the guards to be in place.
Almost as if on cue, the two guards entered.
"Guard, I was trying to give my cellmate the Pepto-Bismol, but I
accidentally threw it against the wall and it shorted out the control panel."
"Alright then, we'll check it out." One guard went over to the control panel
and pressed a few switches while the other guard kept his rifle aimed at Trent
through the bars..
"Hey Steve, which button operates the security radio?"
"Not sure, try the red one in the center." While Steve, the guard, was
distracted, Trent pulled his gun away from him and quickly shot the guard at
the control panel.
"Aw, shit!" Steve yelled. Before he could radio for backup, Trent shot him
as well. He aimed for the control panel and blasted it. The lights went out
completely and all the cells opened.
"Kate, c'mon, we gotta get out of here."
"Huh? What?"
"I've fucked up the cell block controls. We'll have to get to the security
controls before we can do anything else."
"What? Oh... alright."
After taking out two more guards, Trent found himself in the security
control room, which was right next to the cell block. He disabled the alarm
before he took out the remaining guard.
"Alright. Kate, you awake now?"
"I think so..."
"Good. Take that female guard's uniform." Trent cocked the rifle he had
stolen from the guard and pointed it at a moniter. While he did this, Katherine
was still busy slipping on the other guard's uniform.
"Why does Mr. Lynch have his female guards dress like this?!"
"Am I complaining?"
"I don't expect you to. Trent, turn around."
"What, I've seen you naked before."
"I'd like to keep my dignity, Trent."
"Alright, fine." Trent turned around as Katherine took her gray shirt off
and slipped on the tight black top the guard wore. "Trent, could you help me
with the zipper?"
"I thought you didn't want me to look."
"Just help me with the zipper." Trent grabbed the zipper and pulled it up.
The top was skin-tight and it looked like a few layers of glossy black paint
had been applied to Katherine's chest.
"Alright then. I'm about ready." Katherine pulled on a blue jacket and put
on a silver headset. "Alright. You done, Trent?"
"Yeah. You don't have any experience with this, so I'll list off the items
you need. Clearance card?"
"Uh... check." Katherine placed the silver card in her jacket pocket.
"Guns?"
"Yes, two, but not the same model."
"Doesn't matter. Ammo?"
"Check."
"Headset?"
"Check. I don't see the point, though." Trent pulled out a small hearing
aid-like device and placed it in his ear. He fastened a small microphone on the
brim of his shirt.
"Ok, thirst for blood?"
"Check!" Trent was a bit disturbed by Katherine's enthusiasm. He couldn't
blame her, she was just a lioness protecting her cub.
"Then we're ready. I'll go after Red..."
"No. Red's mine."
"Wha...?"
"He didn't just take my son, but he killed me as well, remember?"
"Alright. I'll go after Lynch and get Ashura." They walked out of the
security room and looked around. The coast was clear. Each walked to different
ends of the hallway and opened the doors.
"Good luck, Trent."
"Same to you, Kate." They both closed their respective doors and began their
search.
