>Drake hadn?t bothered to explain to her what being deprived of resources
>meant, but he figured she should know that sort of thing by now. If not,
>he figured that she would probably read his mind and find that he had
>almost no money and none of the pokemon with him were really strong
>enough for a battle, with the exception of him.
>At this point, the dragon pokemon was figuring that Sabrina could learn
>any of what he meant by scanning his mind. Considering how much she
>could learn by scanning his mind, he figured that both he and the
>Slowpoke, er ? Luthor, were not in a good position.
Luthor does not feel any danger whatsoever. He feels a little insecure
about the green dress and bonnet he's wearing, but he doesn't fear
Sabrina because he's convinced that she can't hurt him since he's the
most powerful psychic in the universe.
"Is that so? Care to put that to a test?" Sabrina asks, crossing her
legs, glaring at the Slowpoke on the Arena before her.
Drake knows that Sabrina is not addressing him by the way she glares at
Luthor - which is quite a relief to the Dragonite, since he doesn't want
to be mentally probed. He's pretty sure that Sabrina can't read two
minds at the same time.
"Don't be so sure." Sabrina glances up at Drake for a moment before
lowering her vision to stare into the large angry eyes of the talking
Slowpoke that has just been presented to her, "I've read your tiny
Slowpoke mind, Luthor. I know that you want to enter the Pokemon League.
Know that I am one of the Gym Leaders, thus you need my Marsh Badge in
order to enter the competition. Let us have a Pokemon battle - one on
one. May the more powerful psychic win."
Luthor's lips slowly curl into a grin, "If that is the only condition
for winning, then Luthor has already won. Give Luthor his badge, now!"
The Slowpoke attempts to crawl up to Sabrina to snatch a Marsh Badge
from her.
Without moving a muscle, Sabrina hits Luthor with a psychic force that
sends him rolling backwards until he crashes onto Drake's belly. The
Psychic Gym Leader narrows her eyes, "Send out a Pokemon so I may crush
it, you irritable pest."
Luthor looks up at Drake, who didn't fall down when hit by the small
Slowpoke. Luthor says, "Do not fear for Luthor's safety, Fin Fang Foom,
for he has just realized who this 'Sabrina' is in the comic book world.
She is not a threat to us. Luthor read one of her comics and he knows
how to defeat her. Luthor just needs to break her index finger and all
her magic powers will be gone!" The Slowpoke slowly walks to his place
at the Arena. Drake stares quizzically at Luthor, trying to figure out
how the Slowpoke's plan makes sense, then glances at his Memuyo the
Meowth, who seems just as confused. Drake shrugs.
The only part of Sabrina that moves are her crimson lips as she says,
"Send out a Pokemon. Or should I assume that you wish to select yourself
to battle me? I would enjoy destroying you, since I hate overblown egos.
Don't try me, Slowpoke."
"Calm down, Sabrina!" Luthor shouts as he still struggles to reach the
place where trainers stand when facing Sabrina, "Why are you so angry?
Is it because Harvey Kinkle dumped you? Did Principal Kraft give you
another Detention? Then again, it might just be that you left a waffle
in the toaster oven too long and it blew up. You hate that the most,
right Ms. Spellman?" When Luthor arrives at his spot, he telekinetically
sends out a Pokeball, "You will never defeat brawn with your weak
brain!" The Pokeball pops open when it hits the ground, sending out a
Machop that wears a black spandex suit. Luthor orders, "Quickly, Bane,
that woman is Silph in disguise. Run up to her and teach her a lesson by
breaking her index finger!"
Bane says something and a small mechanism on his suit translates it
poorly, "Huh? Why finger? No make sense to me."
Sabrina chuckles lightly while shaking her head slightly, "A Fighting
Pokemon! Who would be foolish enough to send out a Fighting Type Pokemon
in a Psychic Gym? If I send out Alakazam, this Pokemon battle will be
about as entertaining as a Tyson boxing match. Since I want to be
entertained, I'll give you a sporting chance, Luthor. I don't have to
look into the future to know that you will still lose, though." A
Pokeball hovers up off Sabrina's lap and lands on the Arena floor.
The short yellow squinting Psychic Pokemon that emerges is sitting down,
snoring quietly, "Aaaabra... Aaaaabra..."
Luthor snorts a laugh at the pathetic sleeping Pokemon that Sabrina has
sent out, "Bane, make short work of Silph's minion!"
Bane carefully sizes up his opponent, whose only movement is nodding up
and down while snoring. After careful analysis of his enemy, the
spandex-wearing Machop shrugs, "What point of attack it? It no move. Me
attack Silph now." The Machop looks up at Sabrina, and convinced that
she represents Silph, the company that treated him horribly while
conducting weird experiments on him, he snarls and his muscles start
growing, "You Silph! Silph pay... pay for... for what Silph do to me!"
Sabrina ignores Bane's threat and says, "Abra, Teleport then Kinesis."
When Bane charges towards Sabrina's throne, throbbing bare forearms
ready to tear her apart, Sabrina's Abra appears on the floor right in
front of him. He keeps running, willing to plow through any obstacle
including the Abra, but before he can lay a finger on the Abra before
him, the Abra opens his eyes wide. Instead of eyeballs, the Abra reveals
blinding blue light beams! The Kinesis attack hits Bane in his open red
eyes, causing him to stumble about, inaccurately swinging his arms.
"It burn! It burn!" The translator on Bane's spandex suit translates the
Machop's horrible screaming. Bane tries to rub the blindness out of his
eyes with his fists, but he keeps missing his eyes and punching
different parts of his face.
Sabrina smirks, "It's amusing how even the weakest Psychic attack can
hurt a Fighting Pokemon. Abra, Psywave."
Luthor realizes that Bane can't see very well, so he tells him what to
do, "Bane, turn around, take two steps, then attack! You can't lose,
Bane. You are the most muscular creature in the Universe. Don't let a
frail feebleminded psychic defeat you!"
Bane's anger over not being able to see manifests itself when his
muscles grow even wider in diameter. Strange fluids start to flow
through the tubes connecting his spandex suit to his head, "Me mad! Me
kill Silph!" Bane clenches his fists tightly, turns around, steps up to
the yellow blur sitting before him, opens one gray hand, and sends a
Karate Chop flying towards the Abra's head with enough force to shatter
a solid block of ice... but it doesn't hit the Abra due to the loss of
accuracy caused by the Kinesis attack. Bane is now sprawled on the
floor, shaking his hand, which hurts after breaking through floorboards.
The Machop glances at the figure of the squinting Abra sitting before
him with his own squinting eyes as the artificial energy generated by
his suit drains from his system. Just as Sabrina's Abra comes into
focus, the Psychic Pokemon opens his eyes once again. The Abra's blue
eyes are the last thing that Bane sees before getting hit with a Psywave
blast and fainting on the spot. Sabrina recalls her Abra and sighs,
"Despite my attempt at making it a fair fight, it was still a boring
match."
Luthor recalls Bane into his Pokeball, looks up at Sabrina, and says,
"You're just lucky that Luthor is a good sport, Sabrina, or else your
brain would have exploded by now. Now, I demand that you use your
magical powers to send Luthor to Safari City so that he may earn a
Marshmallow Badge. I've met two Lex Luthors who have been unable to do
this, but if you're such a great Psychic, Luthor is sure that you will
be able to. If you manage to do this, then Luthor will dub you as the
second strongest psychic in the world once he takes over the world,
which should be in no time if you send Luthor to Safari City."
"So, you want me to Teleport you to a Gym?" Sabrina places her hand on
her chin to consider this, then nods, "Since you're such a weak Psychic
Pokemon and have no potential for greatness as a Psychic, you do not
belong in my Psychic Gym. I will Teleport you to a Gym where they can
appreciate a Pokemon who has the potential of learning Water-based
attacks." Sabrina blinks and Luthor disappears in a flash of blue light,
dress and all. Sabrina then addresses the Dragonite standing near the
entrance to her chamber, "Now then, Drake, what is this I mind-read
about a Pokemon-operated Delivery Service?"
