Seth lost track of how long he lay there, just enjoying the presence of Aerie by his side. Until he rolled over and saw she was not there. *baa bum* He blinked. Surely his eyes were tricking him. Just like with those gyarados fins tunnelling through the sand over there, as if above a head... *daa dum* Seth was not the only one looking. Gyaradoses could not dig, but these could be nothing else. A girl stepped - almost materialized, seemingly - from behind a tree, crawling towards them to get a better look. *ba bum ba bum* Suddenly, the fins turned towards her. The girl leapt back in suprise, the backpedalled until she ran into a woman, looking out to sea and not seeing what was in front of her. *da dum da dum* The girl tugged on the bottom of the woman's swimsuit with one hand, wrapping herself around the adult's leg with her other three limbs. "Mooommmmmmyyy..." *ba bum da dum ba bum da dum* A flash of motion, and then there was only the woman, standing on one leg. The fins snapped a quick 180, and before the woman displayed any comprehension of what was going on, she was also taken under the sands. *ba dum da bum ba dum da bum* The finds now turned towards Seth, all others nearby giving them a wide berth. Seth pondered what to turn into, but too late - the fins sprung, and he barely got an image of a large sandslash holding up gyarados fins before he was swallowed whole. The first thing he felt were the two prior victims, who seemed to have been digested quickly...or perhaps were just dissolving... "Not funny, Aerie." "Oooh..." With sand overhead blocking out all sunlight, only the transformation glow let Seth watch Aerie shrink back to her normal form. "How'd you know it was me?" "The bodies were connected to you by threads under the sand, I'm guessing. But how'd you get the sound effects?" "Paid off the band." Aerie snuggled close to Seth - not that she had much choice, in the mini-cave her former shape had left.
