[Sorry if this battle isn't very good...I was rushed while writing it; up
late at night and wanted to get to sleep...so this one won't be as good as the
previous ones...]
"Welcome to another exciting round of the Pokemon League Games! Today's
battlers are two of the few that made it to Round 7! The world famous Ash
Ketchum..."
Ash entered the battlefield to loud cheers. Pikachu was at his side, as
always.
"...and Dan!"
Dan entered the opposite side of the field, along with Clefairy.
"These two have proven their skill and power in the previous rounds.
Now, which of these two great trainers from Pallet will come out on top?"
Ash turned his cap around and threw a pokeball. "Go, Bulbasaur!"
Dan laughed at seeing Ash's trademark Pokeball toss, and sent out his
own Pokemon. "Go, Pidgeot!"
"Bulbasaur, Razor Leaf!"
The razor-sharp leaves sent Pidgeot flying...
"What?!" Dan said. "That can't be right!"
"Hawhawhaw..." Ash said, using his special laugh.
Dan growled. "Let's see your overpowered Pokemon take this! Sky
Attack!"
"Bulbasaur, Solarbeam!"
Both pokemon began glowing as they charged up for their attacks...
Bulbasaur's move was made first, and it began to release the beam.
"No way Bulbasaur's faster!" Dan said.
Just then, Pidgeot zoomed into the air, just barely evading the
Solarbeam. It harmlessly crashed into the wall.
"Let's see how you handle this..." Dan said.
A glowing streak flashed through the air, heading straight for
Bulbasaur. It struck with a bright flash, and Bulbasaur was down.
"What?" Ash said, as a light disappeared from his side of the board.
"...Go, Kingler!"
"COOKIE!" Kingler said after its release. Dan burst out laughing.
"I don't see what's so funny..." Ash said.
Dan quickly stopped when he saw a stream of bubbles heading right for
Pidgeot.
"Pidgeot, block it!"
Pidgeot used his wing as shield, and blocked most of the damage. He was
still quite weak from the Razor Leaf from before, though...
"Pidgeot, use Fly!"
Pidgeot flew high into the air....
"Kingler, Crabhammer when it comes down again!"
Pidgeot began his dive, and Kingler brought back one of his huge
claws...
"Pidgeot, watch out!" Dan shouted.
But it was too late. Pidgeot crashed into Kingler, but was also met by
Kingler's powerful Crabhammer. Both were hit equally hard, and both went down.
"Huh? How..." Ash asked.
"How do you like it now?" Dan said. "Maybe your pokemon aren't as
powerful as you thought."
Then he muttered, "Ash = doof..."
Both then threw out new pokeballs. Ash was at the disadvantage, because
his pokemon was Muk, and Dan just happened to have chosen Kadabra...
"Muk, Body Slam!"
Muk started to throw itself at Kadabra, but was stopped in its tracks
when it was hit square in the forehead by a Psybeam.
"Oh..." Ash said.
"Finish with a Psychic!" Dan said.
Powerful psychic waves invaded Muk's mind, and quickly took him out.
Three lights were now missing from Ash's side of the board, as opposed
to only one on Dan's.
"Go, Squirtle!" Ash said, tossing out another pokeball...
"Squirtle, Skull Bash attack!"
Squirtle's skull smashed into Kadabra, almost knocking it over.
"Gah..." Dan said. "Recover!"
Kadabra glowed, and was soon as good as new.
"Squirtle, Bubble now!"
"Kadabra, hit him with a Psybeam!"
The psychic energy beam surged forward, popping the bubbles and
knocking Squirtle back into its shell.
"Now finish it off!"
Squirtle began to lift off the ground, and then fly into the air.
Ash gasped as he saw Squirtle flying around in great circles in the
air, and then start plummeting to the ground.
...But just before it hit the ground, it stopped suddenly, and was
gently lowered to the ground.
Squirtle popped out of its shell, unable to go any further.
"Squirtle is unable to battle!" the ref said.
"What?!" Ash said. "But I'm supposed to the world's greatest trainer!
Wahhhhh!..."
"Oh be quiet..." Dan said. "It's not over yet, Ashy-boy..."
Ash's Charizard and Dan's Kadabra faced off on the battlefield...
"Charizard, Fire Spin!"
"Kadabra, block it!"
The flames raced towards Kadabra, but just before they reached him,
they turned around and headed back toward Charizard!
Charizard was engulfed in flames, but he wasn't down yet.
"Kadabra, Psychic!"
The powerful psychic waves attacked Charizard, who was now holding his
head in pain. When it stopped, Charizard started on a rampage across the field!
"Uh oh..." Dan said. "That attack mustn't have had a very good effect
on him..."
Ash reluctantly returned Charizard to his pokeball.
"Charizard is out of the match!"
"Haha..." Ash said. "You'll never be able to beat my last pokemon!
Pikachu, go!"
Pikachu leaped out and fired a small electric charge.
POOF! In a puff of smoke, Kadabra was down.
"What?!" Dan said. "...he needed a break anyway...Venusaur, go!"
"Pikachu! Agility!"
Pikachu became superfast and ran circles around Venusaur. Venusaur
couldn't even hope to get a hit...
"Thunder, now!"
Pikachu launched huge bolts of electricity from its cheeks, and
Venusaur was soon fried.
"Grr..." Dan said. "Venusaur, return. Go, Vaporeon!"
"This'll be easy," Ash said. "Thunderbolt!"
With one shot of electricity, Vaporeon was down in seconds.
"That was dumb..." Dan said. "Pikachu, go get'm!"
"Pikachu, Quick Attack!" was the cry from both sides.
Both moved very fast, and slammed into each other...Unfortunately,
Ash's Agilitized Pikachu picked itself up faster, and quickly attacked Dan's
Pikachu again.
...And the process repeated until Dan's Pikachu was lying on the field,
fainted.
"Oh no!" Dan said. "Clefairy, you're my last chance! Go!"
Clefairy leaped forward and started Doubleslapping Pikachu.
"Pikachu! That can't hurt you! Use a Thunderbolt!"
Clefairy was shocked by Pikachu's attack, but was still able to fight.
"Clefairy, Mega Punch him!"
Clefairy delivered a powerful blow to Pikachu's stomach, leaving him
vulnerable for a while longer...
"Do it again!"
And so Clefairy delivered another punch...to the cheek! Clefairy was
almost fried by the electric shock, and fell over.
It was just like the last time...only no miracle recovery...
"No..." Dan said. "I can't lose to him..." His head fell.
But then, he was woken up by the announcer's shouts...
"Both trainers have just one pokemon to finish the battle with! Who
will come out on top?"
Dan looked at the scoreboard. Sure enough, there was one light
remaining on his side.
"Haha!" he said. "I'm going to come out on top! I should've done this
in the first place..."
Out of the final pokeball came...Marowak!
"Ha! Beat that!" Dan said.
"Pikachu, thunderbolt!"
Dan shook his head as he saw Pikachu release the shock. Marowak swung
his bone like a baseball bat, and knocked the shock off to the sidelines.
"Pikachu, Quick Attack!"
"Marowak, Bonemerang!"
Pikachu was way too quick, and the bone missed by a mile. Pikachu
slammed right into Marowak, almost knocking him over.
"Pikachu, do it again!"
By this time, the bone had returned, and Marowak had to think fast. He
couldn't hit Pikachu with a normal attack...
He started spinning, holding the bone out to block the attack. It
worked, and Pikachu was knocked off to the sidelines.
Ash stared at the unmoving Pikachu, until he heard the dreaded
message...
"Pikachu is out of the match!..."
"...Yes!" Dan said, jumping and making a victory sign. "I did it!"
"What?" Ash said. "I'm not supposed to lose! Waaaahhhh!...."
"Hm...I guess telling him it was a good match is out of the
question..." Dan said, watching Ash hop up and down in anger.
"And so ends this exciting match..." the announcer said. "Ash has been
knocked out of the running and Dan will be going on to the final round!..."
Dan exited the field, leaving behind the hopping mad Ash...
