The threat of being forcibly confined in a pokeball broke Drake of the fear that had held him. After breaking out of the pokeball the first time Drake prepared to kill the woman who held the gun with an unrestrained Hyper Beam to the head. Then he got hit with the pokeball and sucked in again. Upon breaking out of the pokeball for the second time he tried to find his target. He had just about done so when he was hit with the pokeball again and sucked inside. He tried to do the same again when he escaped for the third time and got sucked in again. The fourth time he broke that the Dragon pokemon broke, he decided that this wasn’t working and that he needed a new plan. It was upon breaking out the fifth time that he figured out just what to do. Just after he finished reforming he grabbed the Onix that had seemingly been awaiting further instruction. It gave a cry of protest "Iwark--!" that was interrupted as Drake hauled on it and swung half of it around in time to deflect the pokeball that Splash had just thrown. Having encountered an ineligible target the pokeball failed to attempt a capture and went sailing overboard. Minax swore under her breath and drew her gun from her holster. She tried to get a shot at the talking pokemon, but quickly found she had a problem. Due to the rock snake’s disproportionately light weight, the Dragonite was able to use his strength to forcibly keep the Onix between himself and her. She tried to locate the Meowth that had been on top of the Dragon pokemon’s head to give her something that she could use, but only caught sight of it as it darted behind the Onix shield. This left her running out of options since she knew her bullets wouldn’t penetrate the rock pokemon’s hide, even if she actually would consider shooting another Rocket’s pokemon. She still had one easy option left, however. "Splash, recall your Onix now!" Drake turned to see the male Rocket take out another pokeball. The Dragonite removed one arm from the Onix and pointed it over at Splash. Electricity shot down the length of it and arced over to hit the deck in front of the young man. Splash stared down at the charred and broken wood that had been polished and intact before the Thunder attack hit it. He then looked up as the Dragon pokemon spoke to him in chilling tones. "Don’t do it. If you do, I’ll have to kill your friend in self-defense. And if I have to do that, you’re next for making me do it." Splash quickly decided that Minax would probably want him not to risk her life. Between that and really not wanting to risk his own, he quickly put away the pokeball and tried to think of something else that he could do to help Minax. Right after turning back, Drake catches sight of a certain Rocket’s red hair. He quickly moves the unwilling Onix to compensate for Minax’s change in position. Knowing that he had to get the Rocket to drop the gun, he tried to use what he overheard to his advantage. "Minax, drop the gun or I’ll smear you across the deck with your partner’s Onix." "Nice try, but I don’t think you’ll do it. Next time whisper your other threat so the person who hears your hollow ones won’t catch them." Feeling that this situation could easily turn around on him, Drake was about to chance testing Team Rocket member’s legendary abilities of recovery by swinging the Onix into Minax when a light bulb practically appeared over his head. He looked over at Memuyo, whose tail was twitching nervously, and hissed out "Hey! I need you do something quick." "Me?" "Yeah, you.. I hope you understand Dragonite, because that’s the only other language that I speak. Dra nite gon nite. Agon nite dragon, dragon dra, ite gon dra. <I’ll distract her. You need to circle around, jump on her head, and cover her eyes.>" "Me? Meowth me owth ow?<Me? You want me to jump on the Pokemon Killer?>" "Ite! Dra ite, dragon gon <Yeah, you! If you don’t do it, then this is going to end badly for all of us.>" Memuyo started to creep around and Drake tried to move the Onix, but he felt it trying to resist. He decided that this was tricky enough as it is without having to fight this rock snake at the same time. "Stop that or they’ll spend the rest of your life trying to untie all the knots that I’ll make out of you!" It was enough to make the Onix stop resisting. It quickly became apparent that Minax hadn’t wasted her time and had almost finished circling into a good position. Drake used this to start his distraction. He swung the giant snake around again to shield himself. Splash’s Onix began to protest "Iwark---!" but was cut off when it was swung around again. This was too much for it, it was going to keep saying something until it wasn’t cut off anymore. "Iwark---! Wark---! Wark---!Wark---!" The problem for it was that the Dragonite that had grabbed it was now swinging it back and forth, immediately jerking it in the opposite direction of the one that it had just been pulled in before. From Drake’s perspective, the distraction seemed to be working. The Dragonite was moving at just the right speed to catch glimpses of Minax as he moved the upper half of the Onix’s body back and forth like a pendulum. He could see her moving with superhuman reflexes, almost lining up a shot on what little was exposed of him when he changed directions each time. After little more than five seconds, Minax figured out the trick. She didn’t figure out what the distraction was for in time, however. Just as she lowered her revolver to properly survey the scene, something landed on her head. A split-second later everything went dark. She brought her hands up to remove the weight that she now felt on her head, but right before she accomplished this she heard a heavy scraping sounds quickly coming at her. Reacting as soon as he saw Memuyo land on Minax’s head, Drake leaped into the air taking the top half of the Onix with him while the bottom half dragged across the deck. The Dragonite swiftly glided around behind Minax on one side and landing in front of her to complete the loop. She shoved the Meowth off her head just as the dragon pokemon reached down and hauled on the Onix to finish forcibly using it to bind the red-haired Rocket. Minax found herself unable to move either her arms or legs. Worse yet, because of the moment of her capture, the only thing that would be in the path of any bullets coming out of her revolver was her own head. "Now that you’ve got me, you’re going to take me to Doppler, aren’t you?" "Maybe if I knew this Doppler you keep going on about I would, but I don’t. I also have something else to attend to first." Drake looked over at Memuyo and saw the Meowth quickly shake its head. "Are you okay?" "Meow, meow meowth me. Me meowth ow me meowth!<A little bruised, but I got real bragging rights now. I attacked the Pokemon Killer and lived!>" Satisfied with that answer, the Dragon pokemon looked over at Splash. The young Rocket had been having difficulty figuring out what to do to help after seeing how easily the talking Dragonite was tossing around his Onix, but something had finally come to him after a half-minute. He pulled out the pokeball containing his Mr. Mime and was about to release it when he saw the dragon had caught Minax and was now looking at him. He instantly made the pokeball vanish back into his pocket and almost started to whistle innocently. "Splash, right? Come over here. Now." The pokemon’s voice sounded a little weary, but the words still sounded like a threat was implied if the young Rocket didn’t do as was asked. Splash walked over despite not wanting to do so. He stopped a couple of feet away from the Dragonite. "Is this alright?" "A little closer actually, if you please." The Dragonite told him. Splash couldn’t figure out exactly why and didn’t like the idea, but he still did it while hoping that the results wouldn’t be serious injury. He stepped closer. The Dragon pokemon repeatedly curled a hand, indicating for him to come closer. He cautiously inched forward until the dragon put his hand up with the palm facing towards the young Rocket, indicating for him to stop. Splash was now mere inches away from the Dragonite and couldn’t figure out why. At least not until he felt something and looked down. The Dragonite had just wrapped his tail around Splash, binding him so he couldn’t move either. The grip was now crushingly tight. It reminded him of the time when Murasaki had her Ivysaur wrap him up with it’s vines. This naturally brought on other thoughts of Murasaki and he began to drift off into pleasant thoughts until he began to notice that he couldn’t breathe. He gasped out "Can’t…breathe…" naturally enough. "Sorry, not used to wrapping frail things like humans." Drake looked over and saw that the Splash was starting to change colors and figured that it really wasn’t a trick. He relaxed his grip and Splashed quickly drew in a lungful of air. The Dragonite then looked over at Memuyo. "Grab one of the Teleport TMs out of my bag here and take Shellder out of it’s pokeball." He waited until the Meowth had done as asked and his as-of-yet-unnamed Shellder materialized. "Okay, put it on top of Shellder and keeping pressing the button until the wires pop out, the TM will take it from there." Drake then turned his attention to Minax, who was observing things and looking for her opportunity to escape, much as he had moments before. "Now then, let us talk." <TBC> Jeff Hauser* *Sig Sold Seperately
