The happy voice of Mithril-rama resounds in Robert's ears, which sets off ringing, which turns out to be an alarm clock, which Robert swiftly hits as he opens his eyes. Rilli is wearing a Sailor Saturn costume. Robert grins, despite his headache, "Please don't be a dream, please don't be a dream..." "Of course this isn't a dream!" Rilli chuckles at Robert's confusion, figuring it must come from his waking up, even though he's being woken at 2 PM, "I went to the Otaku Convention in Saffron City, remember? I've been there for a week! I just got back home and your mom let me in here so I could surprise you in bed!" Robert's blank stare prompts Rilli to ask, "What's wrong?" One of Robert's eyebrows raises, wondering if a trick is being played on him, "I... I don't remember you saying you were going to a convention. I'm pretty sure that I would've decided to go with you if I had, especially if you were going to wear THAT!" Rilli tilts her head to the side, "No, you said that you didn't -" "In fact," Robert interrupts Rilli to continue his musing on what he remembers, "The last thing I remember is going to a party... I don't actually recall there ever BEING a party... but I do remember something about a girl with a Magmar, and..." "Yeah, you mean Nori. She's been hanging out with us ever since your birthday party, which seems to be what you're describing... but that was back in March, and we haven't had any parties since then. The next party's going to be Friday, when the Diversity Gym opens." Rilli has a faint smile on her face that hides her concern that Robert might have suffered brain damage while she was apart from him, "You didn't drink any turpentine or gasoline this week, did you?" "The party was in March?!" Robert asks in shock, "...but I remember my watch telling me that it was April Fools Day, and then months went by in mere minutes and-" "Yeah, and that's why I gave you a new watch on your birthday." Rilli points to Robert's wrist, "The old one was defective..." "New watch?!" Robert glances at his nightstand and sees the a blue watch there, "I don't remember ever getting a new watch... but then again, I don't remember anything that happened in the party. Are you sure the party wasn't last night? I'm pretty sure it was, seeing as how that's the last thing I remember... or, uhm, DON'T remember... The point is, I was walking into the party and all of a sudden, everything goes dark, and moments later, I hear 'Wake up, Robert!' and here you are!" "Robert, that party was on March 18th." Mithril-rama explains, with a serious look on her face, "Today is July 30th." Robert starts pinching himself all over his body, and when that doesn't wake him up from his reality, he starts gnawing at his arm until Rilli tells him to stop. Robert starts trembling, "So... so I've been asleep... for... for..." Robert starts counting on his fingers while mumbling, "Mmm, then you carry the April... and May... June's after that... July... That would be... FOUR MONTHS?!" "No." Rilli places her hand on Robert's forehead to check if he has a fever. Robert sighs, "I'm sorry, math was my weakest subject, but that isn't the-" "I mean you haven't been asleep for all these months." Mithril-rama examines Robert's eyes, looking for indications of drug-usage, "You've been waking up and going to sleep every day. For some reason, you've blocked out everything that's happened to you since your birthday. What a weird case of Amnesia. Maybe if I remind you of what you did since that day, you'll start to remember. Remember when you gave all your Pokemon the chance to leave you?" "No, I don't remem..." Robert trails off when he realizes the rammifications of what was asked, "...I WHAT?!?!" Mithril-rama nods, "It was right after you decided that your Tauros and that Ditto had to be together to raise their baby. You released Tauros, who was more than happy to be free again, and we called Officer Jenny to send them to the restricted area of the Safari Zone. You were moved by Tauros' happiness, so you gave all your Pokemon the chance to leave your side." Robert glances all over the room for the belt where he kept his Pokeballs, but doesn't find it anywhere, "Judging by the absence of my belt, I'm guessing they all decided to leave me because I was such a loser. I can't believe they all stayed against their own will... Perhaps those Pokeballs were hypnotic or something. I mean, the Pokemon did become friends with me right after I tore them away from their natural habitat really easily..." "Shhh." Rilli puts her finger on Robert's lips, "You stopped keeping your Pokemon in Pokeballs since last month, when people from the Pokemon Resistance convinced you that Pokeballs were unnecessary since you weren't traveling anymore." Robert smiles, "So that means... I still have Pokemon?!" At that point, a large, plump, female Raichu leaps onto Robert's bed and curls up on his lap, purring, "Raii... Raiii..." Robert beams, "Raichu's still with me?! I thought she'd be the first to leave!" Mithril-rama nods and combs her fingers through Robert's messy hair while explaining, "The only Pokemon of yours that left with Officer Jenny to the protected part of the Safari Zone were Tauros, Snorlax, and Golduck." "Just those three? I thought Hitmonchan would've left... I mean, she barely knew me..." Robert pauses to recall which Pokemon are in his lineup while petting his Raichu's back, "...wait a minute, you're telling me CHARMELEON stayed?!" Mithril-rama chuckles, "Yeah, we were wondering about that too for a while. Haunter told us that he stayed because he liked the sweet isolation of the Pokeball. Why, he's the only Pokemon you still keep in a Pokeball, partly because he'd torch Farfetch'd if you didn't. I'm not sure Charmeleon was being completely honest when he told Haunter his reason for staying with you. I mean, he was trained by Professor Oak to stay with his trainer, and I'm sure he respects you." "I still don't remember any of this happening..." Robert sighs and hugs Rilli, "...is there anything else I should know?" Rilli smirks and says, "Yeah, I'm pregnant with your baby." "WHAAAAAT?!?!?!" Robert screams and hops out of bed, running around the room, pulling his hair out. Raichu chases him around. "Just kidding, Robert." Rilli giggles and climbs out of Robert's bed, "But you should know that John Laramie and all his construction buddies back at the Diversity Gym are done building the place. It's spectacular, and it'll house all our free range Pokemon much better than our houses currently do. We're going to start setting the place up on Monday and the grand opening is going to be on Friday, with a huge party for everyone who wants to come! After the Anime convention in Saffron City ended, Nori actually volunteered to go out and look for our old friends, the ones we met in Mount Moon, so she could invite them to the party on Friday. She seemed really eager to find her old friend Sarah Jane in particular!" After calming down from the false alarm, Robert smiles, "A party sounds like a great way to bring in trainers! Who thought up the idea?" Rilli pokes Robert's nose, "You did, silly! I hope this amnesia thing goes away. We had such great times this summer, like our trips down south to the docks, and it's so sad that you can't remember them... I guess it just means we'll have to relive them all over again! We've got much to relive, so get dressed and meet me outside! We're taking a trip down forgotten memory lane." Rilli kisses Robert on the lips and heads out of his room, showing off the back side of her Sailor Saturn outfit. Robert smiles as he reaches for his blue jeans, "Amnesia. This is so weird." Raichu looks up at Robert and says, "Rai." -Robert
