Nobody objected to Akito's credentials (i.e. his Aero), so here you go.
-----------------
"When I fly, I feel a surge of power. I am soaring, something man has always
dreamed of doing. The feelings I get are not because of the height, not the
giddiness it installs in my cerebellum, no. It is simply because I am above
everyone else. As I should be."
-----------------
Turn back the hands of time...
"It is time my friends!" Professor Sagami was almost ecstatic. "After
months of carefully extracting the DNA from the rich Amber, our flower is
almost ready to bloom!"
"Yes, yes professor! You'll be the most famous researcher of all time!"
"Even better than Greenwood's resurrection of a Kabuto!"
"I can't believe how well it has come along! Congratulations professor!"
All of the apprentices and helpers chimed in in turn telling the man how
great he was. Blah blah. One worker though stayed silent. He had no idea
about the scientific ratifications of unearthing this fossil - he just
wanted it.
Within the genetic tank, tiny clawed hands could be seen moving in the
fluid. The wings they were attached to had an impressive span. Its eyes
remained closed, as did it's long jaw, but nonetheless, they knew it was
alive.
And then, an eye twitched. And it opened. Jaws dropped.
"L...ladies and gentlemen, I give you, the first known resurrected
AERODACTYL!" Cue thunderous applause from the gathering. Behind them though,
a scientist breathed heavily. This was going to be his toughest job yet -
but he would pull it off, damn it. One flick of his wrist and a dart
appeared in his grasp. A precision shot and the dart had impaled one of the
cables connecting the genetics tank to the security monitors.
BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP!
"Warning! Security risk! Possible biohazard! Evacuate the area immediately!
Initiating Lockdown." The emergency procedures began. Perfect.
"You - who are you?" demanded Sagami.
"Hmmm-hmmmm. Congratulations on resurrecting Aerodactyl, old man," the
scientist threw off his disguise to reveal none other than Akito, a purple
haired young man in a Rocket outfit, "But Team Rocket now claim possession."
"Team Rocket! We were infiltrated! I don't believe it!"
"Believe it. But we're not all bad. Here," he said, throwing the wig he had
been wearing at Sagami, "cover up that pate, baldy." The doors behind them
were closing, meaning nobody could get out - but more importantly, no
security could get it.
"You can't take this specimen! Not now! Not ever! We'll fight you to the
last!" The assembled scientists all drew their Pokéballs. "Go!" White energy
struck the ground, forming into the scientist's chosen monsters.
"Mag-ne-ton!"
"Electrode!"
"Daaiiii-chu!" * (Raichu)
"Arubululululu!" * (Electabuzz)
Akito was unfaltering. "Predictable that scientists would train mostly
inorganic and Electric type Pokémon. Good thing I brought this with me.
Golem, GO." The Pokéball struck the ground and the light formed into a
hulking megaton Pokémon.
"Golemmm!!"
Arcing streaks of electricity erupted from the assembled electric Pokémon,
striking the Golem for no effect. "Golem, put them down with an Earthquake."
The Golem rolled forward, curling up into a ball, and struck the ground with
a precise impact. Shockwaves rolled out in every direction, knocking
scientist and Pokémon alike on the ground. The Magneton seemed to fall apart
on contact with the ground, screws and sparks flying. The Electrode rolled
into a nearby console and stopped moving. Struggling, the other Pokémon
managed to get to their feet. The Golem grinned.
"Raichu, get in close and try to use your Submission on it!"
"Electabuzz, wait for an opening and try and use Psychic to put it down!"
Akito allowed himself to grin a little. The fight was only a distraction.
Hopefully the next move would work effortlessly.
"Jolteon, time to go to work!" With an energetic bound, Jolteon burst from
it's Pokéball. It LOVED its work. Thousand of tiny pins fired from it's body
into the computer terminals, which created a domino effect of explosions.
"No, not the terminals! The containment tank won't hold!" Sagami's
attention was wrenched back to the battle as Golem used a Seismic Toss to
hurl Raichu into Electabuzz. Both Pokémon were down for the count. "You
won't get away with this." The professor threw out another Pokéball and a
Wartortle sprung forth. A powerful jet of water flew from it's mouth,
dropping the Golem in one hit.
"Damn." Akito had not prepared for a water type.... but then again, his
primary Pokémon WAS a Jolteon... "Jolteon, Thunder Wave. It cannot
interfere." Jolteon arched it's back and a wave of electrical force flung
itself around the Wartortle, immobilising it for a moment.
Behind the combat, cracks began to run up the containment tank that held
the newly-born Aerodactyl. Moments later, the pressure from the fluid caused
the glass to shatter. The premature extinct Pokémon flopped onto the ground,
taking it's first breaths. "It's too soon for the specimen to be out of it's
containment!"
"Have a heart, Doc. Stop calling it a specimen. I prefer to call it - MINE."
With that, Akito tossed a Pokéball into the somewhat soft hide of the
Aerodactyl, who was caught up inside the ball.
"Stop! You don't know what you are doing!! The specimen can't survive in
conditions like that! It's too weak!"
"Shut up." The security doors were smashed open as a Rhydon stampeded
forward, closely followed by several police officers and assorted Growlithe.
"Time to depart. Fearow! Carry us out of here." He called back Jolteon and
threw out a fourth ball, producing a sleek Fearow. Fearow made a swoop
around and Akito leaped onto it's back. "Golem, it's been good. You know
what you have to do. Thank you, my friend." The Golem, struggling to stand
up, nodded and grinned, and the Rocket punched fists with it in friendship
before leaving.
"Goooooo-LEMMMMMMM!" White light surrounded the Golem, and it's armored
body began to crack open, as the Explosion engulfed the laboratory. Akito
soared into the air, Fearow's Hyper Beam slicing a hole through the roof,
and away from the island, but not before Officer Jenny spotted him outside.
Her Growlithe fired a thin but powerful blast of flame upwards, striking
Fearow in the wing.
"Nyyeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhh!!!" The Fearow spun out of control and plummeted
into the sea. Knowing he could do nothing whilst mounted, Akito leaped off
and tried to call back the Fearow. In his fall he missed, and they both hit
the sea. The impact was enough to knock Akito out.
-----------------
Akito often remembered that Fearow, and regretted being unable to save it.
As a Spearow, it had been one of his first captures in Team Rocket. But he
didn't dwell on it a lot. Despite the tragedy of that day (he had cared for
Golem and Fearow a lot; Golem had agreed to the Kamikaze attack, but Fearow
was an unexpected casualty) he had made an important acquisition. It had
proven a worthy successor. So long as Jolteon was still with him, and his
later captures, he felt secure.
His hair spilling into his face like a purple waterfall, Akito grimaced.
But then again, he always had a perpetual frown. The wind that slammed
against him whistled through his uniform, but he was not perturbed. Arms
folded, he was a statement of defiance, fighting the skies as they tried to
push him down. He stood.
His eyes scanned the ground below, and then stopped. A boy was running
along. He looked like one of the typical Pallet or maybe Viridian Pokémon
Trainers. This would be.... amusing.
"Down, my pet. It is Showtime." Akito's mount descended.
-----------------
"What is that sound?" The young trainer looked up towards the Sun, and
froze in fear.
"AEEEEEEROOOOOOOOOOOOO!!"
