He had eventually lost track of the two fools back in Goldenrod, but the distraction served its purpose: his depression over not finding Mimic was banished like a fog. Figuring that the reason he did not sense Mimic there was that he had already been and gone, Dee had set out to the north, towards Ecruteak, scanning along the path. Even now, he revels in his current mood, indulging in the joy as much as he had let fear and worry drag him down, and thus does not even see the false tree in his path. Nor does he feel the metal bird bounce off, intercepted as it dove at its now flattened opponent. Enimuram raises an eybrow. "Saved by an electrode. Does anyone else see the irony in this?" As he passes, scanning the crowd, he suddenly recognizes one of the minds present. Something dopey, yet vaguely hostile. On a whim, he alters course and crashes into the woods by the side of the path, shrinking into a pineco once he is out of sight and bouncing along the tree branches to get a better look from a hidden vantage.
