From: Dan and his army of Kirbys (kirb9701@aol.computer) Subject: [PW!] Entry to a New World Newsgroups: alt.games.nintendo.pokemon Date: 2001-01-21 10:12:37 PST [Last time, Dan infiltrated a Team Rocket base in search of his missing pokemon, and ended up on a helicopter flying to Cinnabar Island...or what's left of it....] "We're nearing the Cinnabar Island base!" the pilot shouted. "Get ready for landing!" Cinnabar Island was now covered with lava rivers. The TR base was in a position where it could avoid the flow for now. The helicopters began landing on the helipads, and the doors started opening. "Everybody out!" said the pilot, and signaled for everyone to get out of the copter. He followed, since they needed all the help they could get. "Now's my chance," Dan said, getting up from his hiding place in the back. "Nobody's left here, so now I can get out of here." Dan slammed the helicopter door shut and headed to the cockpit. "Let's get ready for takeoff!" he said, starting up the engines. The helicopter began to rise high above the exploding island and started to fly out over the sea. "Hey, there's my house," he said, flying over Pallet Town. The helicopter kept going. "I guess I can visit later..." The copter flew over the roads west of Viridian. Dan saw the small town high atop Indigo Plateau, dominated by the huge Pokemon League Headquarters building. It kept heading further west. "I've never been west of Indigo before," Dan said. "I wonder what's over there... I heard there's another country over there, but no one's been there...." Suddenly Dan noticed a large mountain in his path, getting closer. He tried to steer out of the way, but couldn't get it to work. "I have to get out of here!" he shouted, and leaped from the cockpit. He then noticed the crates in the back. "I have to get those Pokemon out too...hm...." Upon examination, Dan saw that there was a parachute attached to each of the three crates. "Perfect." He opened up the door of the helicopter and pushed the crates up to it. He then activated the devices that would open the parachutes in the air, and pushed the crates out. The parachutes opened, and the crates of Pokeballs floated safely to the ground. "Now, I have to get out..." Dan said, and searched the helicopter. There was a box on the wall marked, "Emergency," which he opened. Inside were two parachutes. He grabbed one and jumped from the helicopter. The parachute opened, and he floated to the ground. A bunch of people had gathered around the landing site of Dan and the crates. "Where am I?" Dan asked one. "This is New Bark Town, in the country of Johto," he answered. "Hm..." Dan said, and watched the helicopter fly into the distant mountain. "Is there any place we can store these before I figure out what to do with them?" Dan asked, pointing to the crates. "How about Prof. Elm's lab?" someone offered. "Sounds good. Let's get them there." TBC... -Dan
