[And sorry for taking so long to reply.] They strolled in near silence to Goldenrod. #Where *could* Mimic be...?# Splash hung on 'Murasaki''s arm, lost in his own imagination. #Bah. This is like trying to predict where and when lightning will strike.# An effeminate thug stepped out of an alley to accost them...then recognized Splash, and did a double-take when he saw on Splash's arm the woman Splash had mistaken him for. The thug quietly stepped back into the alley's shadows and wet the shorts a passing kid had forced him to wear. #I know he'll be at that concert, some time in the future. He will survive...I hope. Unless time itself can be changed. Who was that one aide of Oak...Aerie, was she? Perhaps she *was* my daughter's 'other', after all. But if her testimony can be believed, then the past can be changed - and a changed past, remembered.# They passed a poster for a Jason Bard concert, pasted on a bank wall underneath a time/date/temperature sign. #Yes, that's the concert. And it's going to happen in...TODAY?!?# Splash barely noticed them stop abruptly. #Hmm. Well, it's worth a shot.# "Is something wrong, my love?" 'Murasaki' smiled. "Close your eyes for a moment, dear." "Ok." Dee did not teleport them directly to Cerulean. Even he was not that powerful. However, the Pokemon Resistance had set up a Johto-to-Kanto series of way stations for teleporters, in the years before the magnet train was operational; it proved especially useful when someone needed to disappear for awhile. With Johto and Kanto now more firmly linked, these way stations had started to fall into disuse even before the war/schism/rebellion/catastrophe/whatever one wishes to call it. But they still existed, and this was not his first time through the system. Fortunately, disused meant unguarded, so they met no resistance as they blinked to the nearest station, then to the next a few moments later, and so forth. They were just across the street from the concert venue by the time Splash got curious and peeked. TBC?
