[I kinda think you jumped to the wrong conclusions about my characters. Ah,
well. I should probably just try to work with it rather than complain...]
Kitsu caught herself reaching for her sword. There was something in the
back of her mind that strongly registered a threat to her freedom, but her
logical side was working hard not to act on it. Kitsu was puzzled. Her
mind didn't usually act this way.
Her stomach rumbled a bit. She was, in fact, quite hungry. The
transformations took a lot of energy. She put her hands behind her back,
more of an attempt to restrain her sword hand than anything, and glanced
over to where Keaton and Famifax had disappeared to. She sighed and walked
in the direction of something to eat.
"Yeah, let's get something to eat," she said. Marvin began to follow her.
"So how did this start?" Marvin asked. "Where you two born like this or
"No," Kitsu replied. "We were born normal humans. We were training to be
samurais, and we would be the best in the land. But about a month ago, a
gypsy that had accompanied a traveling carneval came to our town. The gypsy
offered us great power, so we accepted it. We were transformed into this
half-Pokemon creatures and gained enhanced abilities along with it. But I
guess there was a drawback after all...
"When we returned to our dojo, our sensei refused to train us. He said that
accepting the gypsy's magic was a disgrace to the school, that taking such a
shortcut was dishonorable, and cast us out saying that we could not return
until we were human again. We've been looking for that gypsy ever since."
"Ah, so it was both a blessing and a curse," Marvin analyzed.
"Yeah, and tonight it's looking more like a curse," Kitsu replied. "For the
past month, I at least thought I was in full control of my transformations.
But tonight I lost control, not just of the transformation but of myself."
She paused to consider her next words. "I know our Pokemon forms have an
influence on our personalities, but tonight it seems like it's doing so more
than unsual. Keaton and I have never fought like that before, and Famifax
instilled an anger in me that... I don't know. It didn't feel like me."
"I guess it's like that story about the werewolf," she continued. "About
how every full moon he turns into a vicious beast that kills people.
Perhaps it's ironic how there's a full moon tonight, or maybe this is how
the curse works. Either way, if things keep going the way they are tonight,
Keaton and I may not be held entirely responsible for our actions..."
