The score was 326 points! BASHER ANDY gets the No. 2 prize, an EVERSTONE!" Cheers erupted around the room as the Bomb Ball Basher accepted his prize from the guard. "BASHER ANDY put the EVERSTONE in the ITEM POCKET. Give a nickname to the SCYTHER you caught?" the guard asked. "Um... I'll call it Amazon," Andy responded. This guard was easily one of the weirdest people he'd ever met. He'd never given his name, or even mentioned BBB. He had dropped the Everstone in his beltpack. The guard had never even seen the Scyther. And nobody ever asked trainers if they were going to nickname a newly caught Pokémon. With that, the guard started staring blankly into empty space (a favorite pastime of guards) and the Bashers walked out. --- "So anyway, now you're part of my team," Andy said. "That's okay with you, right?" "]Yes,[" Amazon responded, although all Andy heard was "Scy!". "Okay. Well, welcome to the team." The trainer threw some Pokéballs. "That's Osiris, Flicky, and David, and of course you've met Electron." "Scy." "You might also want to meet Enimuram's Pokémon," Andy said. "Yeah." Enimuram nodded and tossed his own Pokéballs. "Magnemite, Tentacool, and Flareon." "Scy, scyther!" Amazon said with what is probably the closest thing that exists to a Scyther grin. "Scyther!" ">No kidding!<" David put in. ">I've always been interested in that.<" "Nemite mag?" Electron sounded surprised, even to the humans who had no idea what he just said. David was a bit perturbed by this. ">As far as she knows, yes<" he said directly into Electron's mind. ">Especially since I'm male and she's female.<" Electron caught on immediately and forgot all about the subject. As Andy and Enimuram recalled their Pokémon, Enimuram spoke up. "Andy, how come all the good stuff happens to you and all the bad stuff happens to me?" Andy blinked. "What do you mean?" "Well, since we met, you've become part of a subgroup for the first time, taught your Magnemite Thunderbolt, saved a life, and caught a new Pokémon. I've lost my job, lost a contest, lost my mind, and temporarily lost command of my body. You always win, I always lose. Besides that, you have five Pokémon now and I only have three." After a few minutes, Andy figured out what Enimuram was implying. "So you're saying that you want a chance to catch up?" "Yeah." "Want my Everstone?" "..." "Just kidding. How about if you get to catch the next wild Pokémon we see?" "Okay, fair enough." Enimurm smiled. "You just wait." He struck an Ash Ketchum pose. "I'll become the most powerful Bomb Ball Basher in the..." His voice trailed off. An Aipom had just appeared in front of the Bashers, and he didn't look too happy. "Ai..." he said as he held his hands up. "POM!" The Aipom jumped at the pair of trainers, barely missing them with a Fury Swipes attack and instead obliterating an unlucky tree. The Bashers could only stare at the results of the Fury Swipes, then back at the Aipom, which stared back malevolently. Finally Andy broke the silence. "Well, gee, whaddya know, isn't that convinient? Such an interesting Pokémon and it just kinda pops up just when I promise you can catch the next wild Pokémon we see. Hey, I think it's interested in you already. Why don't you go ahead and catch it? I'll just go, um, train Amazon or something." And with that, he dashed back into the park, Electron following close behind. Enimuram gulped. TBC Will Enimuram catch the Aipom? Will he finally start giving his Pokémon nicknames? Will David start dating Amazon? Will Ted Brotlov and Cyclonus appear in this story arc? Will our pseudoheroes EVER get around to their invasion of the Power Plant? Does Amazon have Baton Pass? Do *any* Pokémon in PW have Baton Pass? Can anyone figure out how to use Baton Pass in a PW? Should I stop talking about Baton Pass? Will there be more dialogue taken directly from the game?
