"What are you going to name your Lapras, Jason?" Amber asked.
"I think I'll name her Belle," Jason said, cradling the Lapras in
his arms.
"That's a very melodic name," Amber replied reaching down and
petting velocity.
"Hopefully, a musical name will help give her a musical voice."
> Amber picked up Velocity, and Jason accomodated Belle to a Pokeball.

"What?" Jason had never had this problem before. He'd always just
had his 6 friends. No more than that. He couldn't bear breaking up the
band now. Each of them were important in their own way. And he knew he
couldn't leave Belle behind.
"Don't worry," said Amber, as if she could read his thoughts, "Your
pokégear lets you trade one of your pokémon for any you've stored in the
PC anytime."
"That's good to hear. I guess I'll have to leave Wolfgang behind. He
doesn't like fighting as much as most Machamps, and doesn't prefers not
to travel, and I know we're going to be doing a lot of both." So Jason
went over to one of the PCs available to trainers. He placed Wolfgang's
pokéball in a cup shaped tray next to the computer, punched in a code,
and the ball disappeared.

...A man in a clown costume jumped in front of them.
"Hhhhhhello thhhhhhere!" His breath smelled strongly of jalapeńos
and sulfur. He belched loudly and Rivet's tail flame flared suddenly.
Everyone instinctively held their noses.
"Can I hhhhhhelp you?"
"Yeah," said Jason, "Can you speak in words that don't have the
letter H in them?"
"Certainly. Everyone asks me thhhhat, but I don't know whhhhy. Oops,
sorry," he added when Amber started gagging. She was standing just
outside the ring of light given off by Rivet's tail flame.
"Enough chatting, let's battle!" The man pulled a pokéball out from
somewhere behind him.
Jason turned to Amber. "You want to take this one? The cave's dark
enough." His last statement was vague enough that only Amber could catch
the meaning. He sidestepped and held his arm out, inviting her to take
the chance.
