Marvin glances over to Famifax, to see she's Transformed into a blonde female scientist in
a lab coat, "Uh, Famifax, have you been hiding something from us?"
Famifax shakes her head and says, "Like, big bro, alls I remember's this cute scientist...
she's one of the only ones who'd let me out of my prison to play."
"So you share my belief that Pokeballs are merely prisons?" Doppler nods at Famifax, "Care
to join me in my travels? I once led a mighty resistance that condemned the use of
Pokeballs, but they've betrayed me as much as your sister has. I believe that together, two
Ditto as powerful as we are, we can make a difference."
"Hey..." Marvin steps forward, "Wait a minute here, Famifax is like a daughter to me. If
you're one-seventeenth as bad as Xerox has told me you are, then I don't want her traveling
with you."
Doppler narrows his eyes at the only human in the room, "Allow Famifax to speak for
herself. And for the record, Xerox's opinions of me are unfairly biased."
Famifax hugs Marvin around his waist, "Thanks for the offer, big bro, but I wantsta stay
with Marvy - he may not be super coolio at turning into peeps like you are, but I love him
anyways. Good luck with all your anti-prison stuff, though, big bro." She quickly
Transforms into a Kadabra, "Now I'm totally sleepy, so let's go home. Big bro, I thinks ya
should stay with l'il bro - he needs ya more than than he needs me. Drakey, same goes for
you - but if you're ever in Goldenrod, look me up. We'll have tons of fun! Fersure!" She
grabs Marvin's hand then reaches over to grab Xerox, but she's not standing near her
anymore.
Xerox is standing before Doppler, pleading, "You must tell me what you know about my
origins. It is unlikely that my sister will ever remember, and I must know."
"He's probably just playing mind games with you, Xerox." Marvin says, then shrugs, "And
besides, even if he's not, your past really doesn't matter - it's your present and future
that's important. Personally, I'd love it if I didn't remember all those boring years I
spent as an accountant." He bends down, grabs one of Xerox's pseudopods, and after a
Teleport courtesy of Famifax, Marvin, Xerox, and Famifax are gone, leaving Mimic, Doppler,
Drake, and Memuyo alone in the room.
About a half hour later, in the Magnet Train headed towards Goldenrod City, there is
awkward silence. Famifax is curled up on a chair across from Marvin, resting her eyes, and
Xerox sits next to him, wide awake but not speaking a single word. Bothered by silence,
especially of the awkward variety, Marvin asks, "So... I bet you're hoping Bill bumps into
Drake and helps him send his memo to himself soon, huh?"
Xerox simply nods.
After that, the Magnet Train comes to a halt. Marvin picks up the sleepy 'Kadabra' wearing
a Pink Bow and heads out of the Train, through the Train Station, and out into Goldenrod
City's Rail Road, followed by Xerox. Marvin and Xerox head east, to the end of the road,
then the magician enters his apartment complex. He searches for his key, finds it, opens
his apartment's door, heads inside, and places Famifax on his green bean bag chair. He
closes the door when Xerox enters and tells her, "Look, Xerox, you know you can always tell
me what's bugging you."
Xerox heads over to her computer, dons her Scope Lens glasses, turns it on, and after a
pause, finally says, "I know that. Go to bed, master, I can tell you need to rest. Thank
you for waking up so early and indulging my desire to save the universe - sure, it may have
been a thankless job, but it was one that had to be done."
"No, thank you, Xerox." Marvin nods at his Ditto, "I know I've been teasing you about it,
but it's obvious that you had a major part to play in this time anomaly thing. Good
night..." When Marvin heads into his bedroom to get some rest, Xerox feels slightly better,
knowing that at least someone appreciates her.
