[NS: And I've got an idea for Dee that I think you won't exactly mind.
It'll be rather...interesting...for Splash, though. ^_-]

Well, one colleague and one pokemon. Though there was not that much
difference between the two so far as the above goes, except the pokemon
was not confused, he was obsessed with *you*.

"Hi mom!"
Having already memorized that voice so she could pick it out from a
crowd, Marcia takes her eyes away from Splash and sees what her
daughter has selected for a costume.
Charcoal black skeleton - not "flesh and bones" skeleton with a lot of
melanin, but just the bones, connected by nothing more than traces of
char - wearing chainmail and sword like a medieval knight, though with
curves that suggest the armor was fashioned for a female. "Neat, huh?
I flipped through that book of famous people like you suggested. Joan
D' Arc, after burning to death."
"That's nice, dear."
Aerie takes in Marcia's dress. "Sayyy, you aren't trying to hit on
anyone, are you?"
"WHAT?"
"Well, that costume and all, that's like in this one story that fake
Web site had, something about baring your flesh to seduce Daddy. Not
sure what it was talkin' about."
Marcia smiles. "No, dear, I'm not trying to hit on anyone."
Meanwhile, near the door, a dead ringer for the lead singer of any
number of the pop culture boy bands breezes in, smoothing his hair with
one hand as his other glides between Splash and the greeter monk.
"'Scuse me, amigo, but Murasaki asked me to tell you she wanted to meet
you in those trees just outside. Something about a private rendevous."
Splash lets go of the monk, his attention entirely on the newcomer.
"Murasaki? Where?"
The pseudo-idol shrugs, gesturing to the vast expanse of forest nearby.
"She just said 'in the trees'. She wasn't too specific..." He winks
conspiratorially. "...or maybe she knew you'd find her eventually,
huh?"
Splash needs no further prompting. "MURASAKI!!!" He dashes off
towards the forest...unknown to everyone including himself, following a
path that leads right to the tower's back door.
Dee nods and walks in with only a nod to the greeter. He then starts
scanning the party, deciding to go for a challenge and using only his
eyes and ears to locate the mother of his child, and the child herself.
One of them would likely need a chaperone before the night was out, and
he fears it might well be even odds which one would need it more.
