"Way ahead of ya!" Yolei called out as she dove down the Onix's tunnel. "Hey! Wait up!" said Lynkeru as she dove in after her. Yuki ran up to the hole and stopped. She put an ear to the wall and listened for a while, paying special attention to the Onix's seismic vibrations. "This way," she said, running into a nearby tunnel. Drake and Memuyo glanced at the Onix hole, glanced at the tunnel Yuki ran down, then at each other. They shrugged and went after Yuki. Lynkeru and Yolei slid down the Onix hole and tumbled out into another chamber of the cave. It was like any other part of the cave with rock surfaces and barely enough light to see anything. "Where is it?" Yolei asked as she scanned the cave. There wasn't much to see other than the Zubats clinging to the ceiling and the near-infinite number of small insects waiting on the floor to swarm over any unfortunate Zubat that falls down and can't fly away before being eaten alive my millions of carnivorous bugs. Why such insects were on the floor instead of the ceiling where there was a veritable buffet is anyone's guess. Of course, if the bugs were on the ceiling then the Zubats would be on the floor which would make it a tad difficult to walk around. Lynkeru stood, staring at one of the walls. Yolei dusted some of the bugs off her then looked at the wall out of curiousity. The wall didn't seem to be doing anything particularly interesting, so she turned her attention to Lynkeru who drew her swords and took a defensive stance. "Whats..?" Yolei asked just an instant before the aforementioned wall was shattered by an incoming Onix, causing a good number of Zubats to fly about in disarray. It growled loudly, shook its head, and snorted in an attempt to dislodge Indi the Fairy from its left nostril. Lynkeru wasted almost no time in lunging at the rock snake, spinning so to slash with both swords in one motion. The Onix bellowed in pain, then attempted to ram its face into her. This did it little good, as Lynkeru barely dodged the Onix wound up with bugs and rocks up its nose. "Steel and water attacks do a lot of damage to Onixes," Yolei said to herself as she reached for an empty PokeBall. "I better stick to catching it if I want it to remain conscious. PokeBall, Gooooooooo!" Yolei flung a PokeBall at the Onix. Unfortunately, by this point the Onix's nose felt so tickly it sneezed in Yolei's direction. A mucus-covered ball splattered into her face and oozed off as Indi hung from the Onix's face by a thread of snot. "This is SO gross," Indi complained. "All right, let's try this again," Yolei said with a sour expression. She took out another PokeBall and hurled it with as much strength as she could muster. A shaking ball landed on the ground with an Onix inside and Indi on top of it. Yolei went over to pick it up. "All that's left now is to name it," she said. "How about..." The ball burst open, sending Indy flying into the air and Yolei tumbling to the floor. The Onix rematerialized and the dazed fairy landed on it's head. It took off, taking Indi along for the ride. "Hey! Come back here!" Lynkeru called out as she chased after them. "Yolei! Come on!" "Hold on a sec," Yolei said. She pulled a towel out of her back pack to wipe the mucus off her face. "Stupid Onix boogers..." To be continued...
