"Probably because I, and some friends we've lost contact with since, went together on our trainer's journey in Kanto. That and I was also headed here to Johto." Continuing to act as information sponge, Elm inquired "So, why were you headed to this side of the continent?" "I'm looking to follow the same path a pokemon trainer might take on their journey through Johto to test some things. That's also why we stopped by here." "Test?" Elm looked as if his curiousity had been piqued and was about to ask something else when his watch started beeping. "Oh, I didn't realize the time. Let me call my wife and see if she accomodate a few guests for dinner so we can finish talking. I'll be right back."
