That said, Mimic > Teleports himself and Bob back to the Cianwood City Hospital to tell Nurse Wendy about > Belle's whereabouts. After adjusting to the different surroundings, Bob looks at Mimic then hangs his head down. "I'm sorry Mimic. I guess when I look at her, I see Sarah and not Belle. Though I'd think tht her actions were a dead giveaway that she's not Sarah, but the mind you know..." "Yeah, Mimic know." The pair walk into the hospital's lobby, where a very anxious Nurse Wendy awaits. She looked hopeful, but that hope faded when she noticed that only two people walked in. "Um, where's Belle?" Nurse Wendy asked. "Well, a funny thing happened..." Bob started. "What Bob say is Belle at gym." Mimic finished. "Oh, so you mean she's shooting for a badge?" the nurse asked, in hope. "Well, actually she was invited to train there." Bob said quietly. Nurse Wendy processed this for a few seconds, then started to laugh, hard. "Oh that was good. The ONLY woman in Chuck's gym for the past 15 years is his wife. Now be serious, where is she?" The only looks that met the nurse's are two serious looks. "Oh DAMN! Do you know what this could possibly mean?" "This new personality has a really wicked left hook?" Bob asked, shrugging. "That too. But if Belle keeps training there, then this new personality of hers may become the dominant one and the one that you knew may disappear forever." Wendy explained. "Mimic think Mimic miscalculate again." "Oh great!" Bob said, before turning around. "Where Bob going?" Mimic asked. "Drug store because I'm interested in what they have, then the Cianwood Gym to get me a badge.call me if you need me." With that, Bob walked out the door. Mimic and Nurse Wendy continued discussing theories and fact anbout how to get rid of Belle and get Sarah back. A few minutes after Bob left, both their eyes bugged out. What Bob had just said sunk in. ---------- Inside the drug store, an old, wrinkled lady was attending to a small burner, a something simmering happily in it. The small bell on her door jingled, signalling the arrival of a customer. Bob looked inside at the dimly lit store. It gave the impression more of a dark place where some stereotyped witch would cook up potions. But somehow, it also had a welcoming air to it. The old lady walked slowly to the front. "Welcome sonny to Granny's Apothecary." the old lady said. "You know, I have a potion that'll kill that leaf." she said. "Hmm, nah. Actually I was wondering if you had anything that could snap a young lady out of a fugue state?" Bob asked. "Sure do sonny." The lady says as she walks to the back room. She comes back with a small stone. It looks like any ordinary rock except that it has some letters carved into it. "Just ding her in the head with this. Should snap her back into reality." "Thanks." the young breeder said, taking the rock and putting it into his coat pocket. "One more thing sonny. I'm not as young as I used to be, and I was wondering if you could take this book on pokemon lore to a Day Care outside of Goldenrod. They might be interested in some of what's inside." "Uh, sure." Bob replied sort of dumbly. Leaving the apothecary, he ran right into Mimic, who didn't look 100% happy. "What Bob up to?" "Medicine and gym battle," came the reply. "Want to watch?" "Sure." Mimic said, as the pair went off to the gym. ---------- > Moments later, Chuck presents Belle to everyone present at the Cianwood City Gym, much to > the shock of the five young male Pokemon Trainers, the Machop, the Machoke, the Machamp, > the Mankey, and the Hitmontop who train there. A couple minutes later, Chuck comes out, carrying three pokeballs. "As you know, this is a gym for fighting pokemon. Now let's see what you've got in pokemon." Belle, who's curious herself, releases all the pokemon she has. A Cyndaquil, Sunkern, and a Slowpoke emerge, as does a Flaaffy. "What is the meaning of this Supergirl?" Luthor asks. Disgruntled and disgusted a bit, Belle recalls him back to his Lure Ball. The fourth pokemon, a Flaaffy, looks scared at her new surroundings. What fleece she has left begins to spark up and get fluffier. A warning Thundershock lands at the two adult's feet. Chuck laughs. "Oh ho. A Flaaffy with as much spunk as you. I like it." Chuck says. His tone then gets a bit more serious. "But every trainer here has at least one fighting pokemon. Now you're welcome to train those as well, but I ask that you take one of these." Chuck holds out the three pokeballs. "This one (Points to the left one) has a young Machop. This one (Points to the middle one) has a Tyrogue, and the last one (Points to the right one) has a Mankey." Belle thinks about it, then looks at the Flaaffy, which bleats twice. Taking it as a sign, she picks up the middle pokeball, the one with the Tyrogue. She releases the Tyrogue from the ball. The Tyrogue opens his eyes, then looks up at Belle. He seems to be a bit ticked off to be given to a girl. "Now, what to call you ..." Belle says, ignoring the Tyrogue's looks. TBC ------- Clayton
