Aerie was bored. Bored, bored, bored-bored *bored*. Everyone in the
house had a contagious case of the blues - which was why she was
currently sitting on the roof of said house, though she tried to
convince herself she was immune. It seemed that many of them would
rather pout than train, before going on to...wherever they were headed
for. Normally, Aerie would have just up and left them a long time ago,
but the unown inside her insisted there were more of their kind
somewhere nearby. They had no idea how to track it down, however.
It has often been said that boredom and imagination make for a dangerous
mix. And Aerie had a trained imagination.

Kitsu was starting to grow used to Aerie's antics, or perhaps her
depression was just that large. Whatever the reason, she showed no
immediate reaction when Aerie popped up in front of her, upside down,
grinning like an idiot. After a few moments, Kitsu sighed, still not
making eye contact, and muttered, "Hullo. I'm not going to ask how
you're hanging from the ceiling, but I'm not cleaning up your
footprints."
"Listen, you. I just thought of something."
"Find someone who cares."
"It's a way to discover your pa-ast," Aerie sang.
Kitsu started, paused, then slumped. "Go 'way. Whatever it is, it'll
just make things worse, I know it."
"Aw, c'mon, hear me out."
"Alright, fine, I can tell you'll be bugging me about it until I do."
"Just an observation. Almost all I've seen you do are pokemon attacks.
If you really are a trained samurai, you should be able to fight me with
swords and stuff. If you can, maaaybe you'll remember a bit more about
it as you do it. If you totally suck, then at least you know for
certain your memories were just totally made up, and can start dealing
with it."
"So, what, you're suggesting I fight you?"
"Uh-huh. And if you've really got mad skillz, I figure I could learn a
thing or two too."
"And what if I refuse?"
"Then I'll keep pestering you 'til you agree. I'd ask your brother, but
I don't want to make him tear up the house again. Besides, I know one
of *your* sore points." She pantomined a kiss.
"..."
"I'll meet you outside in ten minutes. Give you time to get your stuff
together." Aerie winked, and disappeared.
