"Hmph, I'll give her sore points," Kitsu said as she stood up. "No, wait...
Yeah, that one's fine. I'll give *her* sore points!"
She drew her sword and examined it. Its been a while since she actually
fought with it, but it had lost none of its edge. She slashed the air with
it a few times before resheathing it. She adjusted her robe and headed for
the door. She wouldn't need a lot of stuff, just her sword.
"So you're going to fight her?" Solo asked as she passed him.
"Yep," Kitsu replied.
"Cool," Solo said. He watched the wereNinetales go out the door before
dashing off to tell the others.
Outside, Kitsu found that she was alone, or at least appeared to be. The
Ditto girl was nowhere in sight. Since she said to meet her out here in ten
minutes, Kitsu decided that this would be a good time to practice by herself
without all the furniture and stuff in the way.
She drew her sword and made broad slashes in the air. Then she made more
fanciful motions, stringing them together in a sort of dance. After a
while, she noticed that a crowd was gathering. They weren't just the group
from inside the breeding center, a number of passers by had stopped to watch
the performance as well.
"How beautiful," one remarked.
"Is she some sort of dancer?" someone else asked.
"How does she keep from cutting her tails off?" a third wondered.
Eventually she brought the show to a close and put her sword away. She
blushed a little as the audience applauded.
"Gee, thanks," she replied, scratching the back of her head. "You're all
too kind, really."
'I am good,' Kitsu thought to herself. But was she fighter good, or just
dancer good?
To be continued...
