Subject: [PW!] [WC] Day One Comes To A Close Date: Thu, 05 Dec 2002 07:55:37 GMT From: Rob <robfrompw@yahoo.com> Organization: AT&T Worldnet Newsgroups: alt.games.nintendo.pokemon "...then Slowbro used Swift AGAIN and FINALLY the Kingdra fainted!" Robert talks into the purple Pokegear on his left wrist. He's currently tucked into his bed in the Scarlet City Pokemon Center, hiding out from any mobs that might have formed after his match with Christopher. Mithril-rama, who's face is on the Pokegear's screen, replies, "Wow, Slowbro beat a part Dragon Pokemon? That's really impressive! How did that magician who gave you a ride to Olivine City do in his match?" "Marvin lost... pretty quickly, too." Robert sweatdrops, mentally comparing the length of his match with the length of Marvin's, "I saw him at the Pokemon Center's Cafeteria when I snuck out to get some free dinner. He told me he's going to start heading back to Goldenrod City tomorrow, figuring people who saw his appearance on TV will want to go see his magic show right now more than ever." "Was the free dinner any good?" Rilli, who's usually not a very inquisitive individual, is curious to hear all the details about how her boyfriend's first day at the Whirl Cup Competition went. "Actually, I don't know - I didn't have any." Robert rests his right hand on his stomach, which has been rumbling every few minutes for about half an hour, "Marvin told me that some kid called Tempo got REALLY sick after eating dinner and that it might've been due to food poisoning. The kid's a contestant, so now Nurse Joy's looking for two or three replacement contestants in case he's unable to battle tomorrow." Mithril-rama comments, "Poor kid. I hope he gets better. Well, it's about to be 3 AM over here, so I'm heading off to bed. 'Night, Robert!" "I'm going to sleep now too. Round One, Block B battles start early tomorrow - well, they start at 10 AM, but that's REALLY early for me - and I should get some sleep. Besides, sleeping will take my mind off food!" Robert kisses his Pokegear's screen and exclaims, "Goodnight, Rilli!" When the Pokegear switches to Clock mode, Robert sets the Pokegear's alarm feature, removes it from his wrist, and places it on the night stand next to the bed. He fluffs up his pillow, sets his head down on it, and soon enough, his mind drifts off into dreamland. -Robert
