No sooner had they enterred the Park when they caught the attention of someone who now, in turn, had caught their attention. Trotting up to them was a familiar-looking purple-haired girl with glasses and a Pidgey perched on her shoulder. Following her was a green-clad Gerudo girl with a Ledian clinging to her head and Mamoru, whose physical description escapes me for the moment. "You were the ones who brought Mimic into the Pokemon Center in Goldenrod, right?" Yolei, the bespectacled one, asked. "Is he alright?" As Yolei recieved her reply, Lynkeru's fairy, Indi, turned the Gerudo's attention to a red-clad figure sulking near the entrance. "Hey, isn't that the weird kid from earlier?" Indi asked. Approaching the kid, Lynkeru asked, "What's wrong?" "Oh..." the kid whined. "I can't enter the contest because I don't have any Pokemon...[1]" "Maybe you can give him Ledian!" Indi suggested. "Hey, maybe I could borrow your Ledian!" the kid requested, not being able to hear Indi like everyone but Lynkeru. "Ledi! Ledi!" Ledian protested. "Well, she's not really mine," Lynkeru said. "She just won't let go of my head." "Ledi! Ledi!" Ledian protested. "Excellent!" the kid said, presuming that she said yes. "Let's go enter right now!" "Ledi! Ledi!" Ledian protested. Regardless, the kid wrapped a sleeve around one of Ledian's arms and ran to the Venomoth guy. Ledian, unwilling to let go of Lynkeru, haplessly dragged the young Gerudo with her. "Ledi! Ledi! Ledi, ledian ledi dian?" "I hear ya," Indi sympathized. Meanwhile, in another part of the park, another pair watches the area warily. They are easily recognizable by their Pokemon-like features, but this time they're accompanied by Pokemon of their own. A Magnemite hovered over the shoulder of Kitsu the were-Ninetails and an Voltorb lay at the feet of Keaton the minoTauros. "Y'know, we could've enterred the Park without paying to enter the contest," Kistu said. "It's good cover," Keaton said. "Besides, we could win a prize!" "But our Scyther and Heracross are probably already tougher than anything we could catch here," Kitsu argued. "And we don't need anything from this contest." Kitsu turned to listen to her brother's rebuttal but instead found that he was crouching in the tall grass, trying to remain hidden. "Keaton, what are you doing?" Kitsu asked. "Shhhh!" Keaton sushed. "Get down!" Keaton grabbed Kitsu and dragged her down next to him. "What?" Kitsu whispered. "Is it the Masked Rocket? Or the alien?" "No, worse," Keaton replied. "Over there, with the purple-haired girl." "Marvin?" Kitsu said. "Yeah," Keaton said. "And if that purple-haired girl is Xerox, then Famifax can't be too far behind. She's probably that Octillery over there." "Keaton, that girl has been in the Park longer than we have. If anything, Xerox is the ten-year-old girl next to Marvin." "Either way, this is bad. I gotta get out of here!" "Get ahold of yourself, Keaton. If Famifax has a shred of intelligence (and you'd have to in order to believe what you told her), then she'll probably stay as far away from you as possible. Besides, if she tries to come on to you, tell that you're busy trying to keep an extraterrestrial from Team Rocket. She'll probably believe that." "Okay, fine. But she's gonna have to find me first..." To be continued...
