(I'm inclined to assume that Keaton is outside at the moment, just so you
know.)
Keaton suddenly found himself in a circle of spinning flames. An attack!
Who would dare attempt such an afront? The question was answered for Keaton
as the flames died down. A Houndoom stood before him, snorting flame.
A challenger, Keaton noted. He would not let such a challenge go
unanswered! Keaton lowered his head and charged. The resulting crack from
their horns colliding was deafening. With a mere flick of his head, the
Houndoom flung Keaton into a tree.
Oh, now it's on.
Keaton charged and the Houndoom turned tail and ran into the house. In the
halls, their horns met again and again. Their heads whipped and thrashed,
dueling with their horns like swordsmen. The Houndoom backed off with each
blow and Keaton pressed on with increasing vigor. He knew he was gaining
ground and victory would soon be his.
With a fierce Headbutt, the Houndoom sent Keaton skidding down the hall.
The Houndoom growled and scratched the ground. Keaton did likewise. Their
lowered their heads for one final charge.
As Keaton stampeded down the hall, the Houndoom did something unexpected.
Instead of actually charging, he opened the door next to him. Keaton
slammed into the door and the Houndoom slammed the door shut. The Houndoom
held the door closed as Keaton tried to knock it back down. The attacks
slowed, then stopped. Soon, the sound of snoring could be heard.
Satisfied with the results, the Houndoom strode down the hall quickly. The
breeding room's door had quite a few holes in it now, and he didn't want the
scent of Sake to get to him as well.
The girls were somewhat surprised to see a Houndoom approach them. Alexz
stood in his way as he approached the doorway to the basement, but a quick
bite to the neck, more of a nerve pinch as opposed to a ripping of the
jugular vein, made her less objectionable.
The Houndoom stood and stared in awe at Kitsu curled up with Aerie, who was
still disguised as a baby Vulpix. His hunter's sense told him that it was
only a Ditto in disguise. Kitsu raised her head up to growl at the
intruder, but a sudden sense of recognition hit her. She lay back down,
still protecting what she thought was a helpless child.
The Houndoom sighed and watched Kitsu fall asleep. He found a nearby
blanket and gingerly draped it over her. Back outside, he found the girls
had been watching them.
"Someday she'll remember," the Houndoom said to himself. Regarding the
girls, he said, "All is safe now. For tonight."
The Houdoom then left the house and disappeared into the night.
"Did that Houndoom have a hood?" Vixxen noted.
